6 Approval of Training Hours All courses are approved DCFS licensing will accept training certificates Pathways approved process for training hours to be accepted For schools, all courses are available for credit toward the required 18 hours of professional development
7 CONNECT: Standards, Instruction and Assessment Access Prerequisites None Supplemental Materials Credit Evidence of Completion Copies of the Birth to Five Standards downloaded by teachers 4.0 hours Certificates located at the end of the course
8 Online Introduction to CLASS Teachstone will send an with instructions and Product Keys for participants Coordinating Partner sends Product Key to teachers (Teachers use appropriate to age level of children in program ) Access Toddler age range 15 to 36 months Preschool age range 36 months to 60 months Teachers set up their account and log in The 30-day subscription period begins with the first login Prerequisites Supplemental Materials Credit Evidence of Completion Set up account through Teachstone once Product Key is received None 2.0 hours (for Toddler and PreK age teachers) Teachers must complete this course prior to taking Looking at CLASSrooms Certificate downloaded upon course completion and after responding to the survey
9 Looking at CLASSrooms In Person Course Access Prerequisites Supplemental Materials Credit Evidence of Completion Teachers log in to their account Once logged in, the account is activated for the 6-month subscription period Must complete Online Introduction to CLASS prior to beginning this course Vendor sends copies of Dimensions Guides and one Video Library Companion to Coordinating Partner Teachers will have unlimited access to the Video Library during the 6- month subscription period 15.0 hours (for Toddler and PreK age teachers) Certificate downloaded upon course completion and after responding to the survey
10 Teaching Strategies GOLD In Person Course Select individuals from each Pilot Network will attend the Trainer of Trainers Institute on July in Alexandria Access Coordinating Partners/Leaders will be responsible for organizing in-person trainings for all early childhood teachers (1 full day/classroom and ½ in a computer lab) Redelivery for first day is limited to 50 teachers; for the second day in the computer lab, 25 teachers Prerequisites Supplemental Materials Credit Evidence of Completion None None 9.0 hours Certificate provided to teachers upon course completion
