On behalf of The Society of Thoracic Surgeons Workforce on National Databases, I am pleased to invite you to Advances in Quality & Outcomes: A Data Managers Meeting, a three-day annual event for data managers to be held this year in Atlanta, Georgia. This meeting will focus on all three Databases that comprise the STS National Database: Adult Cardiac Surgery, Congenital Heart Surgery, and General Thoracic Surgery. The primary objective of this meeting is to provide attendees with a variety of presentations and discussions to help them improve data collection and patient outcomes. Of particular importance this year to the General Thoracic Surgery Database data managers: a comprehensive overview of the new data specification upgrade that becomes effective Jan. 1, To be held at the Hilton Atlanta, Oct , the AQO Conference is designed for health care professionals and data collection personnel who are dedicated to delivering and improving quality health care to cardiovascular surgical patients.
