4 ACADEMIC DATES Fall term Sept 10: First day of classes Sept 16: Final day to drop Fall term courses (including PS101) without tuition charge Sept 23: Final day to add/change courses/sections Oct 12: Thanksgiving, no classes Oct 13-16: Fall term reading Week, no classes Nov 11: Final day to drop fall term courses without failure Dec 9: Last day of fall term classes Dec 12-23: Final exams including Sundays (no vacation plans until exams are over!) 8 Progressing to Year 2 You must complete PS101 and PS102 in Year 1 to continue as a Psychology major, and to take 2 nd year Psych courses next year; Be sure that you are registered in PS101 in the Fall and PS102 in the Winter. Need not be registered in the same section of PS101 & PS102

9 Progressing from Year 1 to Year 2 You will automatically be placed in the same program in Year 2, i.e., Honours BA Psychology Comprehensive, Honours BSc Psychology Comprehensive, Honours BSc Bio-Psych or Honours BSc Comp Sci-Psych IF you meet the progression requirements for that program.

10 Progression to Year 2: Honours BA Progression as an Honours Psych BA major from Year 1 to Year 2 requires: a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 5.0 (C, about 65%) across PS101 and PS102 and a 5.00 GPA overall

11 Progression to Year 2: Honours BSc Psychology Progression as an Honours Psych BSc major from Year 1 to Year 2 requires: a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 5.0 (C, about 65%) across PS101 and PS102 a 5.00 GPA overall

12 Progression to Year 2: Combined Honours BSc Psychology For progression into Year 2 of the BSc Bio & Psych program: a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 5.0 (C, about 65%) across PS101 and PS102, a GPA of at least 5.00 (C) is required in BI110 and BI111, and an overall GPA of For progression into Year 2 of the BSc Computer Science & Psych program: a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 5.0 (C, about 65%) across PS101 and PS102, a GPA of at least 5.00 (C) is required in CP104 and CP114, and an overall GPA of 5.00.

19 THE PSYCH SOCIETY An undergraduate student-run group that meets regularly throughout the year in both social and academic settings. Meet-the-prof" event provides an opportunity to ask questions of faculty members, and meet with them in a relaxed, informal setting. Guest speakers and an opportunity for volunteer charity work. Check the bulletin board opposite the Psychology Main Office N2006.
