2 Registration Overview Register in courses online through mytru.ca Some programs cannot register online Before you register, ensure conflict-free timetable Registration opens on June 15, 2015 Check your registration status online Registration remains open until September Register for both Fall and Winter semester

3 Self-Registration Online Who can self register: All degree programs and most certificate and diploma programs Who cannot self register: The registrars office will register students in select programs Check the list of programs online: tru.ca/registration/register/registration-eligibility-by-program If you are in a University Preparation or ESAL courses, you will have to register in person: - On-campus at Admissions & Registration - By phone at

4 International & Upper Level Students International students in 1 st and 2 nd year are required to register in person and cannot register online - On-Campus in International Admissions - By phone at Upper level transfer students registering in 3 rd and 4 th year courses must have received approval from the program advisor

5 To Do Before Course Registration 1. Sign-in to mytru.ca 2. Pick your Fall 2015 & Winter 2016 courses - Academic Advisors help plan your courses and ensure you meet course pre-requisites 3. 9 Step 2: Pay Your Tuition Deposit by Credit Card mytru.ca > Student Resources 1. Under Online Payment select Make Payment 2. Select a Term: Fall 2015 (Sep-Dec) (View only) 3. Payment Amount : $ $ (selective/limited program) - Tuition deposit allows you to register and holds your seat in your registered courses - It must be prepaid before you register - It is applied as a deposit towards tuition with the tuition balance due August 28 st

14 Step 4: Register For Your Courses Online Add or Drop Classes Add or Drop Classes: - Register in multiple courses at a time with the course CRN numbers - Complete Add Classes Worksheet with CRNs of courses you timetabled - Fastest and most efficient registration method - What is the course CRN number? - Unique identifier - Find it on Detailed Class Information (Course Schedule) - Ex. COMP 1130: CRN is 10351

16 What if I am waitlisted in a course? If the section of the course that you want is full and you are unable to register in it, you can waitlist A waitlisted course will not appear on your final course schedule TRU does not guarantee you a seat in the course if you waitlist If a seat becomes available in a course you have waitlisted, TRU will contact you to inform you of the opening You will 48 hours to accept the seat before it is offered to the next waitlisted student If you are still waitlisted in the course on the first day of classes, you must go to the first class to hold your spot on the waitlist

17 Registration FAQs Register for both Fall 2015 & Winter 2016 now Can change/update Fall 2015 schedule until September Can change/update Winter 2016 until January You can register in a maximum of 5 courses (full time study) Student loans require a minimum of 3 Your registration date and time is the first date you can register You do not need to register that day, but the later you register, the more your course options are limited You have to pay your $300 tuition deposit before you register It will be deducted from your Fall tuition

18 Tuition Once you have registered, your total amount of tuition and student fees will be calculated on mytru.ca My Account Summary Fall 2015 tuition due: August 28, 2015 Winter 2016 tuition due: November 30, 2015
