Another advantage consists in the fact that 66 percent of the population is at working age. w Excellent transport infrastructure A-4 motorway; CORRIDOR III, the main transit route from Western Europe to Ukraine; Krakow Airport Balice, the second largest airport in Poland servicing over 3 million passengers every year, and the nearby Katowice Airport situated only 60 km away from Krakow.

3 EXPO Krakow World class exhibition centre The 23 rd edition of HORECA will take place at the International Exhibition Centre EXPO Krakow. Targi w Krakowie company is its sole owner and operator. EXPO Krakow is the most advanced and largest venue in the southern Poland. Spacious and multifunctional Centre, designed according to the largest trends, guarantees the highest level of organised events. This modern complex, with a surface area of 13,000 sq. m, comprises two halls of 5,000 and 4,000 sq. m, a number of air-conditioned, modular seminar rooms of various size, meeting rooms and a large lobby. The halls are open plans, without any dividing walls or supporting poles, which allows for an optimal use of space. The HORECA trade fairs involve the presentation of innovative solutions and advanced technologies in the sector. The HORECA trade fair is an all-embracing platform for sales, promotion and communication. SPA&Wellness 9 th Equipment, Services and Facilities Salon SPA & WELLNESS The healthy lifestyle has recently become very popular in Poland. Poles gave a positive reaction to the spa & wellness trend a few years ago and the rapid development of these services places Poland in the top six among other European countries. Every couple of months new spa centres are opened and owners of existing hotels, resorts and boarding houses create renewal centres. From this perspective the professional SPA & WELLNESS Salon organized in Krakow becomes increasingly important. Theninth edition of the SPA&WELLNESS is organised alongside the HORECA 23 rd International Trade Fair of Hotel and Catering Equipment.The SPA&WELLNESS Salon in Krakow provides an excellent opportunity to present the latest equipment, technology and a variety of solutions for SPA facilities and biological renewal centers. The programme to be presented at the SPA & WELLNESS Salon is being prepared in cooperation with the largest training and consulting centers in Poland. Changing eating habits are certainly a contributing factor. More and more Poles eat out, with only one in every three declaring that they never eat outside of their home. Over the last decade the number of restaurants in Poland has grown by 42%, with almost 17,000 establishments operating across the country. This is one of the reasons why restaurateurs look for new products and interesting ideas to make sure they stand out among the growing competition. It is for the fourteenth time that distributors of food and beverages to the catering industry will present their commercial offers at the GASTROFOOD trade fair, which wonderfully complements the presentation of equipment and services for hotel and catering businesses. The event is accompanied by two theme-based salons: the 6 th Coffee and Tea Salon and the 4 th Regional Products Salon.The GASTROFOOD trade fair involves many seminars and culinary workshops run by specialists, which are dedicated to recent trends in the HoReCa sector. Traditionally the fair is also accompanied by a 3-day Culinary Festival, with many culinary and bartending demonstrations and competitions.

7 6 th Coffee and Tea Salon It is estimated that a Pole drinks on average more than 500 servings of coffee, and 650 servings of tea, per year. These are increasingly consumed in cafes, teashops and eateries. The Polish tea market is the third largest in Europe, after those in the UK and Russia. While the consumption of tea has been steady for several years now, the drinking of coffee has increased by over 80% in the past 10 years, as the coffee market in Poland has recorded a six-fold increase. The turnover of Poland s cafes is growing by about 20% annually. The dynamic changes in the coffee and tea markets are an incentive for café, tea-house and restaurant owners to increase their involvement and ensure that the quality of their products and services are at the top level. The Coffee and Tea Salon will provide the producers and distributors of coffee, tea and brewing equipment with an opportunity to promote new products and establish business contacts with other professionals in the HoReCa sector. 4 th Regional Products Salon Healthy and ecological living have become increasingly popular in the recent years. Eating right has become fashionable. Clients are more and more demanding, asking for high quality, unprocessed foodstuffs. Consumers began appreciating local products because of they are natural and original in flavour, which is why restaurants frequently introduce regional food to their menus. The Regional Products Salon is a response to these changing eating trends; this is where food producers can meet restauranteurs and convince them, at the especially organised tasting sessions, of the exceptional flavours and nourishing quality of their products.
