1 Punting Competition Site Check List Before Competition Ensure posters for the competition are displayed Promote the competition through word of mouth Encourage teams to get their entry details to you as early as possible Have the FAQ s and Terms & Conditions made available to members Send through all team entries when you receive them. The TAB must receive all team entries prior to 10:00pm Friday 28 th August 2015 including: Team Name Team Members Team Contact Details Initial $100 Betting Voucher Serial Number The TAB Club where they are participating Send to: Punters.comp@nzracingboard.co.nz During Competition Where possible, assist teams to place bets. Ensure that teams follow this order for the whole competition: 1) Scan your Betting Voucher 2) Collect any winnings (from any previous eligible bets) 3) Place your eligible bets on the eligible meetings 4) Receive your change as a Betting Voucher Full details on how to process transactions using a Betting Voucher are shown on the following pages. Make sure you have a Teletext TV in your outlet displaying page 610 throughout the day so that your customers can see the punting competition leader board which will display the 5 highest Betting Voucher balances. Notify your TAB representative of any Betting Voucher balances that are higher than the top 5 Betting Vouchers being displayed on teletext page 610 after each race has resulted. 2 Competition Close Check to see if any teams Betting Vouchers are in contention for one of the 3 prizes Assist the team/s to complete the Declaration Form Send the TAB all relevant details (as stated in the Terms & Conditions) for any Betting Vouchers in contention for winning one of the 3 prizes before 12:00pm Monday the 31st August 2015 Betting Vouchers A betting voucher can be redeemed for cash, or used to pay for transactions. The change can be given in cash, or reissued in the form of a voucher for the remaining amount. Betting voucher example An example of a betting voucher is shown below.

3 Process Transactions with Vouchers Process transactions with vouchers procedure Customers can use their voucher to pay for a transaction. Follow these steps after bets and/or pay tickets have been processed. Step Action 1 Scan the betting voucher, if you cannot scan it: Pass it through the reader Enter manually by pressing PAY followed by the serial number of the ticket then SEND 2 Does the customer have a PIN? If the customer Has a PIN Does not have a PIN Then Enter the PIN on the pin pad and press OK. Continue to next step. 3 Does a credit balance exist? If a credit balance Then Exists Continue to next step. Does not exist Continue to step 6. 4 Press VOUCHER. Result: The credit amount automatically displays. 5 Does the customer require a PIN? If a PIN is Required Not required Then Ask them to enter a four digit PIN on the pin pad and press OK. Repeat to confirm. Press SEND. Result: The voucher is printed. 6 Press TOTAL. If a voucher has been printed it will display ASK for $0.00. If there is no credit balance it will ask for the required amount. 7 Retain the old betting voucher with the paid tickets for four weeks. End of procedure.

4 Complete a Transaction The TOTAL and SUB keys are used at the end of a customer s transaction to either give the amount to pay or ask for, or to restore the transaction and add additional bets for a customer. Total The TOTAL key totals up the customer s transaction and a message displays on the terminal screen stating whether you need to PAY the customer or ASK FOR payment from the customer. Sub Total (restore customer total) The SUB key allows you to continue transactions for the same customer after the TOTAL key has been pressed. When this key is pressed the screen will show SUB-TOTALLED PLEASE CONTINUE. Any further transactions will add or subtract from this total. Note: Most errors occur when the sub total key has not been pressed when continuing with a customer s transactions. If you forget to do this, your cash drawer will not balance.
