1 2014 Annual Review Improving the image of construction

2 Foreword In 2014, the Scheme was fortunate to have celebrated many new milestones and achieve record registrations a true demonstration from the industry of its commitment to the Scheme and to improving the image of construction. Over the 12 months, 8894 sites registered with the Scheme which is the highest number ever recorded since it began in Similarly, 673 Company Registrations were received which made last year the best year ever, and a 13.5% increase on what was achieved in One of the most significant achievements of 2014 was the launch of Supplier Registration. Historically, the Scheme has focussed on construction sites and companies but recognises the valuable and vital contribution made by those companies supplying goods and materials to the industry. Supplier Registration was developed so that those supplying the industry are now also able to benefit from registration and play their part in improving the image of construction also saw the Scheme celebrate its 80,000th registered site and the 1000th registered company fantastic milestones to achieve in the same year. The National Site and Company Awards continued the trend of improving year on year, with more awards than ever before being presented to the most considerate registered sites and companies of Another key achievement took place in December when the Scheme helped the Lighthouse Club launch the Construction Industry Helpline at our first annual Drinks Reception. Providing support and advice on a range of issues, this is a fantastic service available to those who work in the industry as well as their families. It relies on funding by the Lighthouse Club and donations so we hope the entire industry will get behind and support this worthy cause. On behalf of the Scheme, thank you to everyone who has supported us and helped make 2014 such a success. I am sure that 2015 will build on what has already been accomplished and we will achieve ever higher standards of considerate construction.
