The distributed nature of the existing environment limited flexibility, requiring high levels of time, cost and effort to enable innovation. Further, processes and systems varied between locations, increasing costs and overall management requirements. Solution: Bacardi-Martini B.V. employed an IBM Cloud Managed Services solution, migrating its operating environment to an IBM Cloud facility located in Winterthur, Switzerland. The IBM Cloud framework offers a flexible architecture, delivered under a platform as a service (PaaS) operating model. In addition, the business is taking advantage of the IBM Cloud Managed Services for SAP Applications platform to support its complex SAP ERP software environment, which controls and manages the company s manufacturing and distribution processes.
