2 Provide vision and leadership in developing and implementing Resource Sharing programs to meet the needs of students, faculty, staff and community members Set expectations for work performance and public service in Resource Sharing, take disciplinary action as needed, and work with program coordinators and departmental staff to determine and resolve training, equipment and other needs Motivate and lead staff in the provision of high-quality services Direct strategic planning for the unit and engage in continual examination of evolving user needs Compile, maintain and utilize data to oversee, analyze and assess unit activities, priorities and directions Provide or delegate the provision of documentation on Resource Sharing-related technology, procedures and policies Collaborate with other members of library leadership on cross-departmental planning and initiatives Monitor Resource Sharing budget and suggest revisions as needed Develop, document and administer policies, procedures, training and orientation program for Resource Sharing Interpret policies and procedures for staff and patrons, and arbitrate appeals of library charges as necessary Recommend and direct implementation, changes and upgrades to Resource Sharing-related software and hardware Manage projects and pilot programs related to Resource Sharing Design and revise Resource Sharing-related forms, webpages, notifications, etc. to ensure staff efficiency, appropriate patron notification, positive user experience and compliance with internal and external policies and guidelines Ensure copyright compliance across Resource Sharing programs Ensure compliance with consortial, national and international ILL agreements, codes and guidelines Serve as the UO Representative in the Orbis Cascade Alliance Discovery and Delivery Team and Courier Program Serve as the UO Representative on the Greater Western Library Alliance Resource Sharing and Document Delivery Advisory Committee Contribute to the advancement of the Libraries mission by serving on library and UO committees and teams, and contribute to the academic, professional and local communities through service and scholarship Interlibrary Loan Technician Mansfield Library, University of Montana May 2004 February 2012 Facilitated lending and borrowing of library material, processing approximately 35K transactions per year Maintained, manipulated, organized and recalled records within and from a variety of library catalog, tracking and database systems including ILLiad, Voyager ILS, OCLC Resource Sharing, Docline and others Hired, trained and supervised student employees Remained current with ILL technology and service trends and provided recommendations for both Provided detailed, accurate and courteous customer service Required knowledge of copyright compliance and principles of fair use Provided reference assistance and database instruction to library users Required proficiency in OPACs, bibliographic databases and Web searching Required knowledge of library policies, procedures, arrangement and functionality Required effective interpersonal communication skills and ability to maintain working relationships with coworkers and campus community Required excellent organizational and problem solving skills and ability to prioritize Technical Support/Reference Assistant Mansfield Library, University of Montana August 2003 May 2004 Provided computer use instruction and technical support for library users
