Internationalisation and globalisation are key characteristics of today s environment. The world has become a global village where economies are closely interrelated, political, social and cultural dimensions tightly interwoven or openly confrontational. The School offers a wide range of programmes entirely taught in English: International Bachelor Programme in Management (IBPM) Master programme, Programme Grande École - Manager Postgraduate programmes Executive MBA Ph.D programme The 65 full-time faculty members coming from 22 different countries guarantee a truly international education based on exchange of multicultural viewpoints and experiences. Furthermore, a study abroad period at one of our partner universities is required of all French students on the master programme Grande Ecole and International Bachelor Programme in Management (IBPM). In return, the School welcomes international exchange or non-exchange students, coming from all over the world. Brittany has also developed a competitive industrial and service economy: telecommunication, automobile, agribusiness, transport, tourism, biotechnology. The campus is located in Rennes, 10 minutes from the historical centre, within easy access by metro, bus and bicycle. Rennes, the capital city of the region, is the largest university town in western. It is only 2 hours from Paris by the TGV high-speed train and one hour by plane. Its international Faculty delivers all its modules in English. The international office and WellCome, one of the student societies, help international students to integrate into the school and the French way of life. All international students are invited to follow French language and European culture courses. A CONDUCIVE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT Built in 1990, the modern campus offers: a multilingual library with recent books on management and 200 academic periodicals and business journals, a multimedia resource centre, a language resource centre, a production department with video and camera systems, 3 cyber-spaces and access to worldwide databases, a WiFi campus, sports hall and gym, a student club, an onsite cafeteria. WORLD CLASS EDUCATION An international academically qualified faculty The 65 full-time faculty members of ESC Rennes School of Business combine academic qualification and professional experience. 72% of the faculty hold a Ph.D degree from prestigious universities such as Yale University, University of Melbourne or HEC Montreal. 80% of the full-time faculty come from 22 different countries. Students and managers benefit from their professors cultural diversity and experience. The school programmes are also enriched by the experience of many adjunct professors who are industry CEOs and experts from partner universities. Today the School has 140 active partnership agreements with some of the best institutions worldwide. This network facilitates student and faculty exchange as well as cooperation in research. 20 double degree programmes ESC Rennes School of Business has signed double degree agreements with 20 partner universities at Bachelor and Master level enabling students from these universities to be awarded degrees from ESC Rennes School of Business and their home institutions. STUDYING ABROAD, AN INVALUABLE EXPERIENCE Studying abroad is an invaluable experience and adds value to one s degree. Employers will look favourably on an international experience because it enhances students skills and competences such as: managing diversity, communicating in different cultural environments, developing self-awareness and self-confidence, autonomy and initiative. Students pay their tuition fees directly to their home university. Students can attend ESC Rennes School of Business for either one semester or a full year. Students can earn credits to transfer towards their home university degree. ESC Rennes School of Business uses the European Transfer Credit System (ECTS). A standard workload is 30 ECTS per semester (30 ECTS are usually equivalent to 15 US credits or 60 credits). The choice of modules depends on the home university and the student s own career plan.
