6 7. It is recommended by the Superintendent of Schools that the Board of Education approve the following revised curricula: Mathematics Grades 2, 3 and 4 8. It is recommended by the Superintendent of Schools that the Board of Education approve Shane DeLucca to provide after school instruction in the area of Social Studies for one (1) hour per week to student # Mr. DeLucca will be paid at the home instruction rate of $42.00 per hour for the school year. 9. It is recommended by the Superintendent of Schools that the Board of Education approve payment to the following staff members to work on the Grade 5 Language Arts Curriculum for the school year which took place on September 2,. It is recommended by the Superintendent of Schools that the Board of Education approve the following resolution: WHEREAS, N.J.A.C. 6A:23A-13.3(d)6 allows a district board of education to appropriate surplus generated from any Federal and/or State revenue excluded from the excess surplus calculation in the pre-budget year in accordance with the annual audit program, and WHEREAS, the Bloomingdale Board of Education (the Board ) received Extraordinary Aid for fiscal year in the amount of $430,767, and WHEREAS, these funds were received in the fiscal year, and WHEREAS, these funds have not been appropriated during the fiscal year budget and are reflected as an allowable adjustment in our audited excess surplus calculation, and WHEREAS, the Board has experienced additional unbudgeted costs, particular in the area of special education tuition, and WHEREAS, N.J.A.C. 6A:23A-13.3(d)6 allows a district board of education to transfer said funds to our fiscal year budget without Commissioner approval, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board authorize the allocation of the fiscal year Extraordinary Aid in the amount of $430,767, to our fiscal year budget. 8

It is recommended by the Superintendent of Schools that the Board of Education rescind the following motion approved on September 21, : It is recommended by the Superintendent of Schools that the Board of Education approve movement on the guide for Lauren Biello from BA+30, Step 6, $61, to MA Step 6, $63, effective September 1,, in accordance with the Bloomingdale Teacher s Association contract. 4. It is recommended by the Superintendent of Schools that the Board of Education approve the movement on the guide for Lauren Biello from BA+30 Step 7, $61, to MA Step 7, $64, effective September 1,, in accordance with the Bloomingdale Teacher s Association contract. 5. It is recommended by the Superintendent of Schools that the Board of Education accept the resignation of Nicole Beck, Certified Classroom Aide at the Walter T. Bergen School, effective September 29,. 10

11 6. It is recommended by the Superintendent of Schools that the Board of Education approve Sarah Srebro, Certified Classroom Aide at the Walter T. Bergen School, to work 6.75 hours per day for a total of hours per week at an hourly rate of $15.46 effective October 5, for the school year. Ms. Srebro was previously approved to work 5.92 hours per day. This schedule change is due to the severity of the student s needs and provides continuity throughout the school day. 7. It is recommended by the Superintendent of Schools that the Board of Education approve Carleen Alkess, Classroom Aide at the Walter T. Bergen School, to work 6.75 hours per day for a total of hours per week at an hourly rate of $14.15 effective October 5, for the school year. Ms. Alkess was previously approved to work 5.92 hours per day. This schedule change is due to the severity of the student s needs and provides continuity throughout the school day. 8. It is recommended by the Superintendent of Schools that the Board of Education approve Amanda Krol as a Certified Classroom Aide for the kindergarten at the Martha B. Day School pending criminal history background clearance. Ms. Krol will be paid at a rate of $15.46 per hour for 5.92 hours per day not to exceed 29.6 hours per week. XI.
