12 DHS college visits Students can sign up for college visits in Naviance (under College Visits) or in the counseling office After signing up for the visit, a pass will be sent the day of the visit to give your teacher Your teacher will sign your pass to excuse you from class that period Students should arrive on time and initial the sign-in sheet to record attendance

14 College-Bound Student Athletes NCAA Initial-Eligibility Clearinghouse Planning on participating in intercollegiate athletics at an NCAA Division I or II institution? You must register with the NCAA. When taking the SAT/ACT, enter 9999 for scores to be sent to NCAA Clearing House Review requirements - might differ slightly from DHS grad requirements

Spring of Jr year is a good first time - retake summer or fall of senior year if necessary Individualized Career and Academic Plan - helps students plan for life after high school - looks at goals, strengths, interests. Students need to complete this as a graduation requirement. Jrs will do this during ACT prep class or Advisory. What is the Commonapp and do all colleges take this?
