3 Secartys represents internationalization Secartys is a non-profit, voluntary organisation, founded in 1968, which represents more than 1,200 industries in electronics, information and communication technologies, professional audio & lighting, leisure and electronic entertainment, solar energy and domotics. Spanish exports by sector 2011 The association plays a key role in fostering internationalisation and competitiveness among its members, with the support of the Central Government, autonomous regional bodies and industry associations from all over Spain. 45% of the associates belong to the Electronics and Telecommunication Cluster, registering a 32% growth from 2010 to The main Spanish exports for the component and industrial electronics sector were photosensitive semiconductor devices, parts of subheadings devices to 85.28, processors and controllers, electronic measuring or checking instruments, smart cards, printed circuits consisting only of conductor elements and contacts, electronic assemblies, light emitting diodes and sound and image recording, the first being the most important, accounting for approximately 56% of the total. This is a very technology-intensive sector, which when combined with the other sectors related to the IT and telecommunications industry, leads Spain's investment in R&D&I. In 2009, the R&D contribution from all of these sectors accounted for 19% of all investment made in Spain and nearly 40% of investment in research by the private sector. The Telecom industry refers to the different markets in which an operator can play: Fixed Telephony, Mobile, Cable, ADSL, Digital TV, VoIP and systems and information management and communication.
