1 TERMS AND CONDITIONS USA General Rental Information The renter and the driver have to be in possession of a valid driver's license (DL). Driving license printed with non Roman Alphabet (Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Cyrillic etc.) must be complemented by an International driving license. For driving licenses from countries not part of the international driving license treaty, an official translation of the license must be presented with the original license. Additionally, renters with non-us driver's license need to present a valid ID card or passport at the time of pick up Age Restrictions Drivers have to meet the following age requirements to rent certain car groups. Age 21 years + 25 years + Car group restrictions ECAR, CCAR, ICAR, SCAR, SDMX, FCAR, FDMX, MVAR, SVAR, CTAR, CFAR, IFAR, CLAR, SSAR, ILAE PCAR, PDMX, LCAR, LDAX, FVAR, STAR, PTAR, XTAR, SFAR, FFAR, PFAR, LFAR, XFAR, XCAR, XDAR, XCEA, PVAR, FWAR, PWAR, XSAR, PSAR, ITAR, XCAN, XDAR, XSAM, XTAN, XXAR, XTMR Driver has to be in possession of a valid driving license for at least 1 year. Driver's license for vehicle groups FVAR, PVAR must include an approval for category D1. EU citizens are allowed to drive vehicles with up to 8 passengers. A Young Driver Surcharge of USD per day or maximum of USD per rental plus tax (6% - 18%) applies for drivers under 25 years. Except for Weehawken and Edgewater: A Young Driver Surcharge of $39.99/day and a maximum of $499.00/month plus local of 7% applies to drivers under 25 years of age. Except for Myrtle Beach: A Young Driver Surcharge of $16.95/day (incl. tax) plus local of 8% applies to drivers under 25 years of age. (Young Driver Surcharge = AE) No young driver surcharges are included in the rates displayed. The surcharge will be added locally when picking up the car. Conditions of Payment We accept all major credit cards including American Express, Diners Club, MasterCard, Visa and Discover. We do not accept any Prepaid Cards, Visa Electron Cards, Maestro Cards or checks. Cash Payment is not accepted. The renter must be the owner of the presented credit card. Debit cards are only accepted for rentals of the following sedans (ECAR, CCAR, ICAR, SCAR, FCAR) and the specialty car groups IFAR and MVAR, if the renter presents a return flight ticket or round trip itinerary upon pick-up. Debit cards are not accepted for long term rentals (long term rentals are defined as rentals for 28 days and longer).
2 A deposit of up to three times the rental price is charged to the chosen means of payment for security purposes. The deposit for high-value vehicles may differ. The exact deposit is determined on collection since the amount depends on the type of vehicle driven. General Protection Conditions Liability coverage/supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) Liability coverage is limited to the minimum financial responsibility required by state law. If purchased, Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) protects the renter against claims made by a third party for bodily injury and/or property damages sustained as a result of an accident while the renter is operating a rental vehicle. This coverage supplies the renter with third-party liability protection up to a limit of $1,000,000 per accident. Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) does not cover all situations that may arise while operating a -rental vehicle-. SLI does not cover all risks. There may be exclusions for unauthorized or intoxicated drivers, no first party uninsured motorist coverage, no coverage for certain passengers in the Vehicle, and other exclusions. For further details, see the jacket of our rental agreement and find a complete copy of the Supplemental Liability Excess Policy, which is available at the counter for your review upon request. The cost of Liability coverage/supplemental Liability Insurance is as follows: see table (Supplemental Liability Insurance = SL) The renter has the choice between two products to minimize the risk of being liable for damage to or loss of the rental vehicle: Partial Damage Waiver (PDW) The Partial Damage Waiver removes the renter's responsibility for the first $ of damage to or loss of the vehicle. The customer will be held liable for any damage or loss exceeding the amount of $ For further details please see the jacket of the rental agreement. PDW is not available in all states. (Partial Damage Waiver = LC) Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) The Loss Damage Waiver reduces the renter's responsibility in the event of damage to or loss of the rental vehicle. The cost of LDW is as follows: see table If LDW is not accepted the renter will be held liable for the full value of the car. If LDW is accepted, the renter is only responsible for the following amounts: USD 0,- for all car groups // USD 500,- for all Cargo Vans Except for Myrtle Beach: If LDW is accepted, the renter is only responsible for the following amounts: $ For further details please see the jacket of the rental agreement. (Loss Damage Waiver = LD) Loss damage waiver (including Theft Protection) with minimum excess If LDW is already included in the rates, the renter can choose the loss damage waiver (including Theft Protection) with minimum excess to further reduce/eliminate the Non-Waiverable Responsibility.
3 The cost of loss damage waiver (including Theft Protection) with minimum excess is as follows: see table If loss damage waiver (including Theft Protection) with minimum excess is accepted, the renter is only responsible for the following amounts: $0.00. (minimum excess LDW = BF) Glass Damage Waiver (GDW) Glass Damage Waiver waives your responsibility in the event of damages to the windshield, side windows, rear-window or mirror glass. The cost of Glass Damage Waiver is as follows: $14.99 per rental plus tax (6% - 18%). If Glass Damage Waiver is not accepted, the renter will be held liable for the full value of damages to the windshield, side windows, rear-window or mirror glass. If Glass Damage Waiver is accepted, the renter is only responsible for the following amount: $0.00. GDW is not available in all states. (Glass Damage Waiver = GT) Personal Accident Protection (PAI) Personal Accident Protection - covers bodily injury to occupants of the rental vehicle. The cost of PAI is as follows: see table PAI does not cover all risks. There may be exclusions. Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia Georgia, North Carolina British Columbia (Canada), California, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico Arkansas, Missouri, Kentucky, Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi British Columbia (Canada), California, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon Pick-up at locations servicing an airport or port: For local renters (local renters are defined as renters who pick up in the state of their residence as identified by the address on their driver's license) the following territorial restrictions apply: Local renters picking up a vehicle at locations servicing an airport or port may not use the rental vehicle outside the State of pick-up if they do not have a return airline ticket/boarding pass or round trip itinerary. Proof of insurance might be required. Pick up at all other locations not servicing an airport or port: The territorial restrictions stated in the table above apply to all renters who pick-up at locations not servicing an airport or port. Renters using the rental vehicle in violation of the applicable territorial restrictions will be charged a fee of $0.50 for each mile the vehicle has been driven during the rental. For one-way rentals across state lines (one-way rentals across state lines are defined as rentals where the vehicle is returned in a state other than the state of pick-up) the following applies: The territorial restrictions described in the table above may not apply to renters with both a reservation and a matching rental agreement stating the return location is in a state other than the state of pick-up. However, the Vehicle may only be used in the continental United States and British Columbia, Canada. Delivery & Collection Delivery/Collection Service is on request. Please contact the local rental location. (Delivery = DL Collection = CO) Concession Recovery Fee A Concession Recovery Fee of 9%-12% on the non-reduced total rental amount occurs for rentals at airport and train stations, except for:

(Concession Recovery Fee = Y) Extras Accessory $/Maximum per rental Baby Seat (0-13 kg/group 0+) Child Seat (0-10 kg, 9-18kg/Group 0/1) Booster Seat (15-36 kg/group 2/3) Accessory $/Week $/Maximum per rental Portable Navigation System Built-In Navigation System SAT Radio 5.00 Adding accessories is optional and subject to availability. A tax of 6% - 18% applies to all accessory charges. Express Toll Service Our optional Express Toll Service offers unlimited use of all automated toll lanes within Florida for a daily prepaid rate of $7.99/day plus tax (6% - 18%) with a maximum charge of $ (Express Toll Service = T1) EZ Toll Pass Service Our optional EZ Toll Pass for Weehawken, Edgewater and Boston airport will be offered for a daily prepaid rate of $3.95/day with a maximum charge of $40.00/month plus tax (6% - 18%). (EZ Toll Pass Service = EZ) Additional Driver An Additional Driver Surcharge of $11.99/day with a maximum charge of $99.99 per rental plus tax (6% - 18%) applies. For California the additional driver is free of charge. (Additional Driver = AD) Refueling Charge All vehicles are supplied with a full tank of fuel and should be refilled prior to the return at Sixt, otherwise our current refueling charges apply. This charge includes price of gas and the service to refuel the car. Please see our current pricelist for details on the price per gallon. The price per gallon is also stated on the rental agreement face page at the time of pick-up. (Fuel = FC) Alternatively, you may purchase a whole tank of fuel at the time of rental at a price that is competitive with local fuel stations and return the tank empty. No refunds will be given for unused fuel. (Prepaid Fuel = PF)
7 Other Fees and Taxes Customer Facility Charge (RCF Charge) A RCF Charge applies to rentals at the following airport branches: Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Int'l Airport: $5.00/day plus tax = $5.50 RCF Charge/day. Miami Int'l Airport: $4.85/day plus tax = $5,19RCF Charge/day. Tampa Airport: $5,95/day plus tax = $6,37 RCF Charge/day. Phoenix Sky Harbor Int'l Airport: $6.00/day plus tax = $6.98 RCF Charge/day. Seattle-Tacoma Int'l Airport: $6.00/day plus local tax = $7.03 RCF Charge/day. Myrtle Beach Int'l Airport:$4.00/day (max. $56.00) plus tax = $4.36 RCF Charge/day (max. $61.04). Las Vegas Int'l Airport: $3.75/day plus tax = $4,50 RCF Charge/day. San Diego Airport: $7.5/per day (max. $37.50) plus tax= $8.36 RCF Charge per day (max. $41.81) San Jose Airport: $7.5/per day (max. $37.50) plus tax= $8.42 RCF Charge per day (max. $42.09) Detroit Airport:$1.00 per day plus local tax = USD 1.08 RCF Charge per day. (RCF Charge = RC) Vehicle License Fee A Vehicle License Fee applies to rentals at the following locations: All locations in Florida and Georgia: $1.99/day plus tax (6% - 8.5%) Phoenix Sky Harbor Int'l Airport: 5% of the rental net price Seattle-Tacoma Int'l Airport: $0.36/day plus tax (6% - 8.5%) Charlotte Douglas Int'l Airport: $0.41/day plus tax (16%) Las Vegas Int'l Airport: $1.50/day plus tax (8,10%) Minneapolis Int'l Airport: 5% plus tax (16,48%) Weehawken: $1.00 per rental plus tax (7%) (Vehicle License Fee = VL/V1/V2) Energy Surcharge An Energy surcharge of $0.99/day plus tax (6% - 8.5%) applies at all locations except for: Hartford and West Haven where a charge of $0.60/day plus tax (9.35%) applies. Springfield and Austin where a charge of $0.60/day plus tax (6.25% - 15%) applies. Minneapolis where a charge of $1.99/day plus tax (16.48%) applies. In Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Jose, Boston, Knoxville, Santa Rosa, Fulton and San Diego, this fee will not be charged. (Energy surcharge = EN) Rental Surcharge/County Surcharge A Rental Surcharge applies to rentals in the following states: Florida: $2.00/day, max. $60.00 plus tax (6% - 8.5%) A County Surcharge applies to rentals in the following states: Arizona: 3.25% on the non-reduced total rental amount, min.$2.50 plus tax (16.3%) South Carolina: 5% on the non-reduced total rental amount plus tax (6% - 9%) North Carolina: 3% on the non-reduced total rental amount plus tax(13%) Nevada: 2% on the non-reduced total rental amount plus tax(8.10%) Connecticut: 3% on the non-reduced total rental amount plus tax(9.35%) (Rental Surcharge = TX / County Surcharge = E) Hospitality Fee A Hospitality Fee of 2.5% plus tax (9%) applies to rentals at Myrtle Beach. Tourism Surcharge A Tourism surcharge of USD 1.00 per day applies to rentals at Hartford and West Haven.
8 (Tourism Surcharge = G1) Business Tax When renting in Knoxville a business tax of USD 0.3% per rental agreement applies (Business Tax = G5) Domestic Security Fee A domestic security fee of USD 5.00 per day applies to rentals at Weehawken & Edgewater. (Domestic Security Fee = G3) (Subject to change) Changes to Reservations: Any change to a booking will be recalculated based on the availability and prices at the time the change is made. This may be greater or lesser than the price originally booked. This applies to changes made to: Pickup location Drop off location Pick up date and time Drop off time and date Vehicle group Airline and flight number Extras All other additional products The lead customer name and the pick up location on a reservation cannot be changed. If you wish to change the lead name or the pick up location, then you must cancel the reservation and make a new reservation. Vehicle type Vehicles displayed are for demonstration purposes only.
