3 Weeras, your learning community Weeras is a multi-publisher, modular and scalable educational platform that provides access to digital content, working with educational communities to share information, experiences and resources, and organise school management tasks using specific administration modules. Weeras aims to improve and enrich educational quality by providing support to teachers, without neglecting the needs of learners and their families. 4 Experience With years of experience in the educational sector, Weeras has successfully adapted to the needs of teachers and learners at over two hundred schools. In 2011, the Spanish Ministry of Education awarded the Weeras platform the Escuela 2.0 Seal of Quality for developing new ways of using technologies in general study subjects, guiding and strengthening support for curricular content and subjects and for doing this through the use of new technological media in order to improve and enrich teaching quality in full keeping with the requirements of the Government of Catalonia s Ministry of Education within the framework of the Escuela 2.0 programme. 5 Who is Weeras for? The platform is primarily intended for use by schools and everyone involved in them: teachers, students, and families. Teachers Helps teachers in their daily duties by making a set of very useful tools available to them. Fosters relationships between pupils and the rest of the teaching staff through the use of a variety of different mechanisms (formation of groups, blogs, photoblogs, forums, links, news and shared documents). Facilitates the tracking of academic progress through reports and through the processing of data generated by student activity on the platform. Students Makes access to digital content easy.
