2 The Castle of Münster (Picture: Press office Münster/Joachim Busch) Prof. Dr. Ingo Saenger Dr. Andrea von Drygalski Due to the increasing significance of transactional practices, the Institute for Inter - national Business Law of the University of Muenster and JurGrad ggmbh are once again offering a course combining fundamental and current legal rules with the practical experience of top-ranking law and other advisory firms. To meet the special requirements and needs of advisory practice, taking into con sideration changes in tax law, new Corporate Governance policies and inter national activities, the focus of the course this year will again be on the current developments in German M&A Transactions. Priority is given to Private Equity Law, as well as Corporate Governance and Due Diligence. Furthermore, in the course of this session, the International Public M&A will be given special con sideration. In this context, the rules and regulations concerning the acquisition of publicly listed companies in various jurisdictions such as the U.S., the U.K., Japan, Hong Kong and Germany, as well as under the European Takeover Directive, will be discussed and compared. Due Diligence, closely examined from all points of view, is a further emphasis of this course and will be followed by a discussion of questions regarding Acquisition Financing.
