2 INTRODUCTION The buoyant industry growth and laudable performance of major private and corporate giants has brought upswing in the Indian Economy. Today all prominent business houses, Public Sector enterprises, State and Central Government undertakings and selected FORTUNE-500 Indian companies, as part of expansion, are making massive investments in India through mid and large value joint-venture projects, to create the best infrastructural and state-of-the art facilities. India has been identified as a Hub for technology and back office operations by many large domestic and international MNCs for their Software Development and BPO operations. Construction of All India Super-Corridor Highways (Quadrilateral), Delhi Rail-Metro, New Noida International Airports, E-Governance, Digital India, IT projects are few examples of our prestigious and large value projects. Computer-based Project Management Cost-Monitoring and Customized IT Software Development for various PM functional areas are being implemented in each one of them. It is a fact that no such projects can efficiently and effectively be executed without using on-line, real time and latest IT, Telecom and Data Communication tools and technologies for their completion within time, cost and resource constraints. This 2-day programmme is specifically designed to appraise participants about these techniques, tools and technologies, associated with computer-based Project Management Systems. OBJECTIVES To acquaint the participating Project Management professionals at all levels with latest IT and Telecom related Tools and Technologies like: Web and Satellite-based Project Management, Latest Software package, On-line Performance Monitoring & Cost Control Systems, Risk Management and Project Crashing, Resource Optimization and Disaster Recovery Applications and Remotely Located Projects Data Communication. CONTENTS The programme has been designed after detailed discussions and interaction with very senior and experienced Project Management, IT and Telecom, Construction Management professionals and will cover various facets of Project Management, IT & Telecom applications, as applicable in effective implementation of projects of varied nature. The topics include: Project Management Concepts as applicable to different Industry groups-an Overview Application Software Packages for Project Management On-line Project Performance Monitoring Systems Project Crashing and Resource Optimisation Project Data Security, Disaster Recovery Management and Audit issues Project Development Life Cycle Stress Management Effectiveness for Project Professionals through Self Management Data Communications & its Management issues in large remotely located projects METHODOLOGY Programme methodology includes audio-visual presentation of papers, knowledge sharing and interactive exercises, role-plays and discussions on real life practical experience of the Speaker and the Participants. Residential Rs.22,500 per participant (plus Service 14%), covering professional fee, programme kit, boarding and lodging (air conditioned single room) at New Delhi. Discounts Early bird discount of Rs.1,000 per participant for nominations received on or before 15 October One complimentary nomination on non-residential basis for every group of three nominations from the same organization, i.e., 3+1 participants for the fee of three participants. A limited number of seats are available, at the discretion of IMM for Faculty Members employed with AICTE approved institutions who wish to participate in this program at a special academic fee of Rs.5,000 (plus Service 14%) per participant, on non-residential basis. No other discount will be applicable in such cases. Fee is payable in advance by way of local cheque/dd in favor of Institute of Marketing & Management payable at New Delhi. REGISTRATION The attached registration form duly filled in along with the Programme Fee should reach the MDP office at least 7-days before the commencement date of the programme. In case of subsequent withdrawal or cancellation of registration, no refund of fee will be allowed. However, substitute(s) may be permitted with prior intimation. CERTIFICATE OF PARTICIPATION The Institute issues a 'Certificate of Participation' on conclusion of the Program. FACULTY The Progam Director and the Faculty Members of the institute will take the programme sessions, except for a few sessions that may be taken by Industry Expert Speakers. Dr. Mathur is a recipient of Dewang Mehta (Nasscom-Ministry of ICT) Award as Best Professor in Information Technology in India in He has over 35-years of rich experience in IT Telecommunication and Project Management areas with over two decades in Industry, 5-years in Research & Consultancy and 12-years in Academics as Professor in ICT and Project Management areas. While in Industry, he has worked in many countries like Iraq, Kuwait, Australia, Bhutan, Singapore and UAE, on official assignments. He has held very senior positions in his Industry experience like: DGM, GM(I.T.), Vice President(ICT), Head (I.T.) and CIO before joining Academics as full-time Senior Faculty. He has very widely travelled for official assignments, attended many national and international seminars and conferences and presented research paper in the areas of I.T., ERP, Broadband Telecom Technologies and Management (e-governance). He had also been a Technology Advisor to Delhi Stock Exchange on behalf of BSE, before joining academics.
