Templates can be modified to reflect different project types & PM methodologies.

15 SoftPMO uses SharePoint to support creation, modification, organization, and sharing of project work products: A TeamSite s mix of Microsoft Office based process templates can be varied to reflect different project types. When templates are created they are stored automatically in libraries organized around PMI project management domains. Technical documentation can be imported and organized in parallel with SoftPMO process template based artifacts. SharePoint sharing and notification features are used to inform participants of additions and changes via messages sent to computer, tablet, and smartphones.
