3 Login/Passwords Don t know your username or password? data@colorado.com Login: data@colorado.com (Add this to your favorites so you can quickly access your listing in the future!) You can change your password once you have logged in All listings and events registered under your username will appear in a list format when you login. If you are missing an event or business listing under your username, data@colorado.com. To learn how to add an event to your listing go here; to add a new listing or change your username your request to data@colorado.com.
4 Listing Levels The features and categories of your listing correlate to your purchased listing level. If you are missing a feature or would like to upgrade, contact data@colorado.com Free 270 characters 1 photo 2 links Tier-sort level 2 1 category 1,080 characters 20 photos 4 links Video upload Social media icons Complete $600/yr Facebook feed Tier-sort level 1 Unlimited categories
5 Modules 101 The Data Engine is divided into modules for different listing features (ie, business information, amenities, etc.) Depending on your listing level, different modules will be available for you to input listing features. To edit existing information in a module, click Edit. IMPORTANT: always SAVE after making changes within modules.
6 Module Verification Module Verification Red boxes indicate sections that you must verify. Green boxes represent information that has been verified and also let you know the date of when the information was last verified. Do not leave the Data Engine until all red boxes are green! You can quickly verify the information by clicking the box or clicking EDIT to change existing information.
7 Business Information Module Carefully verify that your business information is correct or press EDIT to update. Double-check all this information! Make changes inside the module after clicking EDIT
8 Google MAP Make sure that your business is mapping correctly on the Google Map by clicking You can always click and drag the red marker to the correct area if needed. Don t forget to click the this box if you re mailing and physical address are the same!
9 Website Links Website links allow users to easily navigate to different parts of your website directly from COLORADO.com. Available links correspond to the categories that the business listing is under. For example. If your listing is under the spas category, you can link directly to the spa information on your website. Double check that the type of link corresponds to that location on your website.
10 Amenities Module 1. To add amenities, click EDIT. 2. Select and de-select amenities by simply clicking on the amenities with your mouse. 3. Grey items are amenities you ve already selected. 4. If one of your business amenities is missing from our list, add it to the listing description. 5. Amenities are available according to the category of your listing. if your listing is in the wrong category or you would like to add a category. 6. ALWAYS SAVE at the bottom of the module!
11 Description Module Best Practices: Customize descriptions for each category. If you do not provide a customized description for your categories, we reserve the right to remove it from your listing in order to provide a better user experience. Do not include information that is already on your listing in your description (i.e. phone number, address, or directions) Make your description unique and interesting. KEEP IT SIMPLE! Web-user attention spans are short keep your message succinct and to the point. Don t forget to use spell-check! Click on see guidelines for more helpful tips
12 Contacts Module 1. The primary contact s information will be in a blue box. 2. Please provide up-to-date contacts for listing information. 3. Click EDIT to change existing contact information. If it is the primary contact, click the PRIMARY CONTACT box. Screenshot here! 4. Choose a preferred method of communication with the listings administrator and OSVG editors Add additional contacts to receive collection letters and notifications when we need you to update and verify your listing.
13 Photos & Logos Module Begin by clicking Select a photo in the.jpg format from your computer by clicking Drag the corners to resize the photo Click photo to upload the Always click this box if you want this image on COLORADO. com! All paid listings can add 6 20 photos! Upload photos that correspond with your different listing categories. Photo credits also go within the caption line Choose which categories the photo depicts. Then decide if it is the primary photo for that category. The primary photo will be displayed as a thumbnail for your listing in that category. For example, this photo will be the thumbnail photo for the Golf category of the listing.
14 Video Module Only Complete listings have the video feature. If you would like to upgrade to a a Complete listing, data@colorado.com 1) 2) 3) Select a video in the.avi;.mpg;.mpeg;.mp4; or.wmv format Click on an existing video to edit 4) 5) All videos will be sent through an approval queue. You will receive notification when your video is live on the site.
15 Social Media Links Module 1. Start by clicking ADD LINK in the module window. 2. Select the type of media you would like to enter. 3. Enter the handle to your social media site (i.e. visitcolorado) Click ADD LINK to enter another social media site. 6. Test all of your links by clicking OPEN LINK. Tip: If your business does not have social media, we strongly advise that you create social media accounts. 60 percent of travelers use social media during their trip-planning process.
16 Deals Module The Deals Module allows advertisers to view, edit and create specials for your business. Expired deals appear in red. Creating HOT DEALS: 1. Click ADD A DEAL. 2. Click see guidelines on deals for helpful tips while creating a special. 3. Input information in the data fields available. Enhanced specials have higher tiersort and more exposure throughout COLORADO.com. Contact data@colorado.com for more information. 4. Select TAGS that best fit the subject of your special. 5. Choose a photo to upload for the deal from your existing photos or click UPLOAD A NEW PHOTO.
17 Events 1. To add an event to COLORADO.com click in the upper right hand corner of the screen. 2. Fill out the basic information. 3. Select the date of your event under the BUSINESS INFORMATION MODULE. 4. Complete the event s description, 6 photos, contact information and other essential information. 5. Your event will then go through the approval queue. You will receive an confirmation once it has been approved and is live on the site. 6. Click RETURN TO DASHBOARD to see all event and business listings published under your username.
18 Where am I listed? Click on WHERE AM I LISTED? to find out exactly where your listing is published on COLORADO.com. If you are missing a category or city, data@colorado.com with your change request. See our Business Rules in the Industry Partner section of COLORADO.com or in the Data Engine for category and city guidelines.
