He will design the administration processes and maintenance of the Active Directory / Microsoft Exchange / Unified Messaging systems, plan and coordinate the installation of new releases and system software, install and test new system software releases and place them in production mode after successful testing. He will also troubleshoot problems with system software and implement resolutions and monitor systems for performance and security. Finally, he will develop and operate Storage (SAN, NAS), backup and disaster recovery plans, and an enterprise anti-virus / patch management infrastructure. She also assists with laboratory class-related problems, tutors students, reviews student lab work, monitors student progress, tests, and grades. In the new position, Ms. Hagen will teach course loads appropriate to Dental, plan and organize instruction in ways that maximize documented student learning and employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies to communicate subject manner to students. The scope and depth of her new responsibilities will increase significantly in her new role.

The Division Chairs have been classified as faculty; however, effective September 1, 2014, the decision has been made to change the Divisional Chair roles. The title will change to Dean and the classification will change to staff due to the increase in the duties, responsibilities and areas of supervision for each division. Ms. Harris will also work closely with Continuing Education to provide support and expansion of the offerings and assist with the development of industry credentials for her program area. Based on the staff compensation plan, the Dean position is at a level 17. Ms. Haywood will be assisting with Admissions to provide customer 9/1/2014 Through upward mobility to fill the new position of Digital Content & Social Media Specialist, Marketing and Public Relations, grade 22, Mallory Cerda was promoted from a Senior Secretary, grade 14, to this position effective Aug 1, This is a new position which is point factored at this higher grade. Kimberly Morehouse $29,148 $32,646 $3, % 9/1/2014 Promotion - Mrs. Morehouse is currently employed as an Enrollment Management Technician. The college internally advertised the position of Student Services Administrative Assistant and she has been recommended based on her previous work experience. Her current position is rated as a salary grade of 8 and the new position is a 10 due to the requirements of the position. This request is in consistent of the 's promotion policy and salary plan. Haywood Community Kathy Brooks $35,984 $44,000 $8, % 9/1/2014 Increased responsibilities - HCC's current Instructional Administrative Assistant is retiring and the college is not refilling the position. Instead, the college is increasing Ms. Brooks duties to absorb all of the Administrative Assistant duties. Ms. Brooks has been assisting the Administrative Assistant/Instruction Division 60% of her time. Now she will be totally devoted to Instruction.

Taking her experience, moving from a nonexempt to an exempt level position and factoring in her new responsibilities, this increase was calculated for her. Pitt Ashley Smith $54,372 $67,548 $13, % 9/1/2014 Reorganization and position upgrade from Director of Alumni Relations to Director of Alumni and Development Services. In addition to inherent increased management responsibility of PCC Development Services the position also has increased responsibility of direct supervision of the Development Director, Events Coordinator and two technical assistants including administrative oversight of all positions. Robeson Community Flora Gail Lowry- Williams $65,044 $77,376 $12, % 9/1/2014 This request is a promotion. Currently this employee is supervising all EMS offered through continuing education. This request is to move assign her to oversee both the EMS training in continuing education and the 's new EMS curriculum programs. This new assignment take her from a Level IV staff member to a program director on the faculty scale. Southeastern Donna Cutrell $38,952 $62,325 $23, % 9/1/2014 The current position as Nursing Instructor was a temporary appointment to cover for nursing faculty who were returning to school to obtain a MSN degree. Of the eight who enrolled, four have completed and four are on schedule to complete in December Due to a departmental restructuring, that requires a full time Director of Nursing and an unexpected retirement, it is recommended that Ms. Cutrell be moved to a full time regular position. Current staffing requirements are as follows. The department requires one Director (previously a teaching position), one SIM lab coordiator (previously a teaching position), eight full time ADN faculty and 3 full time PN faculty. At present, there are two full time positions that need to be filled. In the new position her responsibilities will be expanded to include teaching, curriculum development/evaluation, advising, service and professional development. Ms. Cutrell holds a MSN from Duke University and has 20+ years of nursing experience.

In her previous role as Admissions Information Specialist she was responsible for serving as the initial contact for students with admissions questions and assisting the admissions counselors. She would review admissions applications for completeness and accuracy and inform students of available assistance programs. She will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the daily functions of Campus Information and Admissions Information Services personnel, as well as Student Ambassadors. In her new role, she will ensure proper staffing, research and create reports, and develop and promote professional development training for staff and student ambassadors. Barry Malone $45,495 $55,668 $10, % 9/1/2014 Promotion. Barry Malone will assume higher level duties, as Associate Department Head/Humanities, for the Curriculum Education Services Division. Mr. Malone was previously responsible for instructing and guiding history classes; maintaining necessary academic and attendance records accurately and in a timely manner. He was also responsible for maintaining an orderly learning environment; grading assignments; designing curriculum and schedule of instruction; staying abreast of most current teaching methods and technology; and using assessment techniques to improve learning. In his new role, he will be responsible for the departmental project needs; assisting with the scheduling of classes, curriculum development and course development; assisting with student advising and student concerns; planning department meetings; facilitating departmental professional development, hiring and performance management for Humanities faculty.

She will assist with the coordination of special events, including press conferences, high profile visits, awards ceremonies, and other Foundation sponsored events. She will also process travel, record minutes, process advertising payments, coordinate the distribution of marketing materials and prepare news clips for the Board of Trustees meetings. Nancy Rivers $50,940 $67,920 $16, % 9/1/2014 Promotion. Nancy Rivers will assume higher level duties, as Associate Department Head/Math and Physics, for the Curriculum Education Services Division. Ms. Rivers was previously responsible for instructing and guiding classes in an efficient and effective manner; maintaining an accurate record of student and work attendance; maintaining a safe and orderly learning environment; counseling students regarding their grades and progress; designing curriculum and schedule of instruction and attending professional development when possible. In her new role, she will be responsible for providing leadership and direction for Math and Physics faculty and staff while performing all duties of an instructor. She will also be responsible for projecting the needs of the department in terms of staffing, texts, supplies and equipment; maintaining records and analyzing departmental data; assisting with student advising and concerns; serving on the managerial team for the department; and assisting in the hiring, performance development and professional development for faculty.
