June December 2007 Ponce School of Medicine Ponce, Puerto Rico Clinical Psychology Program, Research Assistant/ Full Time Primary Research Project: Abuse, felt-stigma and Adherence in Person living with HIV/ AIDS of the Puerto Rico Comprehensive Center for the Study of HIV Disparities (CCHD, PR). Conducted participants interviews, data collection, data coding and analysis, co-facilitation of intervention group sessions, and record keeping. Participated in Young Investigators professional development activities. Assisted the PI in writing and translating technical reports, articles, and other scientific publications as well as in the development of other research proposals. Led focus group meetings with members of at risk communities. August June 2005 Damas Hospital, Ponce, Puerto Rico Pre-doctoral Student Clinical Practicum Provided psychological services to patients in a general hospital. Provided psychological intervention under supervision for patients, their families, and the nursing staff in a cardiovascular surgery unit. Supervised two campuses with a total staff of 60 and a student body of 200. Developed and implemented policies and procedures for all the agency s educational programs. Was a member of the local interagency community collaboration committee, and the Florida State-wide Interagency Coordinating Counsel for Infants and Toddlers.
