SCOPE Purchase of a set of Vector Nautical Charts pre-loaded to a computer appliance covering the Mediterranean Sea, Black Sea and some parts of the Atlantic issued by the United Kingdom Hydrographic Office (UKHO) and respecting their licensing model together with 3 years maintenance. These charts will be used as a secure internal base map service for approximately 250 end-users in an ESRI ArcGIS environment. The charts to be procured are for planning purposes only and not to be used for navigational purposes. 2. DELIVERABLES: REQUIRED TASKS / SERVICES Decryption and preparation as a web mapping service of charts indicated below Decryption: Decryption of required UKHO vector charts is essential to be able to utilize them in the existing ArcGIS environment Web mapping service The preconfigured base map service shall be prepared in OGC Web Map Service (WMS) Security: The solution is going to be operated in a closed environment. The license for the 3 year period has to be provided Updates Monthly updates referring to the included charts are required based on the Admiralty Notice to Mariner (NMs) service. These updates shall be distributed via CD-ROM or DVD and made available as a tfp download service Warranty A minimum of 3 years warranty should be provided to all hardware components. 3. PAYMENT SCHEME The following delivery and payment scheme will be applied: - Supply of service: All deliverables shall be provided within a period of 4 months after the signature of the contract. The supply of service shall be invoiced and will be paid according to the payment conditions as described in the contract. - Monthly updates (#2.1.13) shall be provided on monthly basis during a 3 years period, starting 1 month after the delivery of the service date. The payment scheme for the monthly updates to be applied as per contractual conditions. - Licences (#2.1.12): should be valid for the period of 3 years from the delivery of service date. All due payments for 1 calendar year shall be invoiced during this same calendar year. 4. LANGUAGE All deliverables shall be provided in English language. 5. ACCEPTANCE All deliverables shall meet the criteria established under point quality criteria. The expected deliverables will be quality checked and accepted by means of singing the deliverable acceptance form. 15

REDISTRIBUTION RIGHTS Redistribution rights are required by Frontex for hardcopy renditions & static, electronic map images that are plotted, printed, or publicly displayed (e.g. on the intranet network for 250 remote end-users). 7. FORMAT, PLACE AND CONDITIONS OF DELIVERY Each deliverable with a hardware (appliance + CD/DVD with updates) component shall be shipped to Frontex: Frontex (Frontex Situation Centre) Rondo ONZ Warsaw, Poland. 16
