4 Financial Plan Development (Capstone) Course 1. LEARNING OBJECTIVES Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to: Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the content found within the Financial Planning curriculum and effectively apply and integrate this information in the formulation of a financial plan. Effectively communicate the financial plan, both orally and in writing, including information based on research, peer, colleague or simulated client interaction and/or results emanating from synthesis of material. Collect all necessary and relevant qualitative and quantitative information required to develop a financial plan. Analyze personal financial situations, evaluating clients objectives, needs, and values to develop an appropriate strategy within the financial plan. Demonstrate logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of various approaches to a specific problem. Evaluate the impact of economic, political, and regulatory issues with regard to the financial plan. Apply the CFP Board Financial Planning Practice Standards to the financial planning process. 2. 11 Firms Night at the CFP Board Registered Program Conference Meetings between Firms and CFP Board Registered Programs to discuss potential partnership options Meetings will be pre-scheduled based upon requests from both institutions and firms Top five choices Institutions/firms will choose on or around July 15 CFP Board will work to accommodate as many requests as possible Meetings will last approximately minutes

19 Computer-based Testing Examinees should register as soon as possible Ensures that individuals can get their first choice of exam date and location CFP Board will allow examinees to schedule their CBT exams in advance of their education completion date Verification deadline- 30 days prior to exam window CFP Board will remove eligibility for exam if education is not verified by deadline Examinees will receive exam results and diagnostics at testing site May not become official until after close of exam window
