The program was designed to prepare students to provide instruction of an Indian language, so that students might return to their tribal community and begin teaching the language to those who are interested. Indian Language Instruction Upon completing the American Indian Languages Training Program, participants will have the ability to provide Indian language instruction to a variety of age groups from pre-school to elementary to secondary to post-secondary students.

The number of instruction / contact hours required to receive a program certification is one hundred and seventysix (176) clock hours. Career opportunities include: tribal gaming commissioner, gaming management positions, and gaming regulatory positions. Upon completing the TGRI Program, participants will develop an understanding of the cultural, political, economic, and regulatory settings in which Indian gaming facilities are regulated and operate.
