My father was born in Texas and raised in California. My mother is a native of the Republic of Panama. I am of African American and Panamanian heritage. I have one sibling, Mckena Richardson, who is also a member of our elite sisterhood. My sister is and has always been my best friend and confidant. My parents and my grandmother, stressed the importance of possessing pride while balancing it with humility, accomplishing tasks with excellence, achieving independence, education, putting God and family first and service to others. It is because of the strength that they instilled in me that I confidently and resiliently pursue and achieve all goals that I set for myself. I have been fortunate throughout my life. I have had the opportunity to travel and live in various parts of North, Central and South America. I love traveling, meeting and learning from people of all walks of life. Next, I would like to travel to Asia. Academically, I have reached and surpassed my educational goals. I am working towards a law degree and I will be graduating with a Masters in Public Administration with an emphasis in Non Profit Management in May of Professionally, I am grateful for all opportunities that I have had. I worked in the private sector as an Executive for a Fortune 500 company. I then transitioned to the public sector and worked for a Non-Profit Organization where I found my passion for child advocacy, the law and nonprofit management. Most recently, I find myself with a career path that will promote the use of my educational background, skill set and my desire to assist others, specifically youth as the CEO of KARASI Preparatory. My sister and I are the founders of KARASI (meaning, life and wisdom in an African language) and we work with an awesome Board of Directors. KARASI is a bilingual, Spanish and English, STEM driven, K-12 charter school for at-risk youth that has achieved partnership with the Colorado League of Charter Schools. It will open in the fall of 2016 upon approval by the Sheridan School District.
