5 Greetings, As the Electrical Electronics and Services Exporters Association (Turkish Electro Technology), we are most happy and excited to be organizing the third TET R&D Project Brokerage Event, a pioneer in the industry. R&D and innovation are indispensable for sustainable exports. In this context, the TET R&D Project Brokerage Event, which we have developed in order to increase added value and to strengthen collaboration between universities and the industry, is of great importance. Otherwise known as The Project Spring, the project market pioneers the development and application of innovative ideas. Held in collaboration with the leading universities of Turkey, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and EUREKA, the supporter of thousands of R&D projects, this activity enables entrepreneurs and academics to turn their projects into commercial success. We are proud to observe that the TET R&D Project Brokerage Event, which is a major step in the collaboration between universities and the industry, attracts more attention with each passing year. This year we received 380 project applications in 4 different categories and selected 122 of those to be exhibited. The categories in TET R&D Project Brokerage Event, which gathers industrialists, universities, R&D organizations and technopark researchers and staff, are as follows: Informatics and Communication Technologies (ICT) Applications, Applications related to Energy Production, Transmission and Distribution, Environmental and Energy Efficiency Applications and Other Applications. The fact that institutions such as TÜBİTAK (The Technological and Scientific Research Council of Turkey), KOSGEB (Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization) and the Ministry of Trade and Industry have a presence at TET R&D Project Brokerage Event grants a special position to the Project Spring in terms of creating a common platform for information sharing. We aim to contribute to Turkey s 500-billion-dollar exports target for 2023 with as high as 45 billion dollars. B E-Agriculture through Auctioning FATİH ENES EKREN 14B-DEYEJ The project aims to make the trading of agricultural products between growers and wholesalers more flexible and more in line with market values. An attempt has been made to minimize communication problems and material losses. Both the producers and the wholesalers are given an opportunity to communicate more conveniently and the right to choose products. This will enable maximum profits and reduce the price of agricultural products below the market value. The project will provide a more systematical structure. The Links among Biometrical Features: Estimation of Facial Features Based on Digital Fingerprints EYÜP BURAK CEYHAN 14B-JHZXA Fingerprints and face identification techniques are the two biometrical features that have the highest accuracy and popularity. An investigation of the literature reveals studies which indicate potential links between finger prints and facial features. The present project produced a facial photofit based only on finger prints and also an estimation of sex by using only finger print data.
14 Informatics and Communication Technologies (ICT) Applications Virtual System for Identifying the Features and Prices of Products ESENGÜL ÖZDEMİR 14B-BBSIA B The product resulting from this project will be a new application, a web and desktop application or a stand-alone instrument. Its function will be the prevention of fraud. The application will inform the user of market prices and will enable a fully-informed purchasing decision regarding the good purchased or to be purchased. The user will be able to investigate products in detail. Moreover, this application will also include bluetooth and wi-fi features. Fuzzy Logic Based Smart Traffic System MUHAMMED ARSLAN 14B-JFYBB The aim of the project is to count vehicles at crossroads and instantaneously modify the duration of the green light based on this count, minimizing the waiting time and as a result, to relieve the traffic. RFID Reader Technology BEKİR ARDIÇ 14B-MKEWI Digital systems reading RFID Reader cards are not produced in Turkey. The results of my research have shown that I can buy the equipment abroad before its assembly and work with electronic engineers, programmers and electronics staff who are graduates of vocational high schools to assemble it in Turkey. I can have the outer surface cast produced by local plastic injection moulding companies, place the RFID Reader module in its external box and install the software.
15 Telesurgical Robot and Simulator KAMAL NABEEL 14B-OZEIJ Informatics and Communication Technologies (ICT) Applications Aim of this project is to provide cost effective and indigenous health care solutions for developing countries. SMART Sim is a Laparoscopic Surgery Trainer for surgeons to learn Minimal Invasive Surgery. It includes computer based virtual reality training based on the Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery Curriculum. Through which surgeons can practice these skills prior to performing a real life procedure. B Time Line HARUN EGİNLİGİL 14B-CRRXX The time line provides a platform for people to share information through mobile devices and PCs. Visually adapted to new generation communication devices such as smart phones and tablets, the interface enables the sharing of information through a simple method. People can share important events on their time line with their location and time privately or publicly. The links between filters and events create unity among the posts on the timeline. Compact Information Communication and Security System for Offices ERDEM ARSLAN 14B-ZDDZS Newly-established offices need infrastructure services such as switchboards (SIP), web services (web server, mail server, ftp server, etc.) and security systems (IP camera, sensors). This becomes a major cost item for new companies as separate sums need to be paid for each system. This project aims to produce a compact product, which will serve as a system to meet all infrastructure requirements of new offices.
16 Informatics and Communication Technologies (ICT) Applications Smart Doorbell ÖMER OYLAR 14B-OXONZ B The project aims to enable users to see their visitors through their mobile phone and have voice communication with them even when they are not at home. The smart doorbell will be able to communicate with smart phones and tablets via the wireless internet in the house. Therefore users will see their visitors on their mobile phone via the camera and the entryphone on their smart doorbell and speak to them. 14B-QQMQA Fiber and Copper-Access Keying and Routing System for Multiple Camera Control and Survaillence ALPER ŞENER The aim of the project is to design, produce and market a keying product integrated with digital cameras with additional features required by the market (encryption-security, FEC, bilateral reliable data communication, remote firmware update, 7/24 seamless operation, 48VDC fed by Türk Telekom power lines, in conformity with environmental and EMC&EMI conditions, expandable) which can provide camera images to the headquarters as IP Stream via a fiber interface (L2 communication). WristLINK MESUT TOZAN 14B-GOMOO The ultimate goal of the project is to design a portable pulseoximeter device based on the concept of early intervention for the remote monitoring of the condition and location of cardiac, respiratory and COPD patients and the establishment of a web-based professional physician data base for the regular and periodical archiving of data. The project aims to meet the requirements for monitoring chronic patients and respond to the need for early intervention, to reduce health care costs and to save from time and labor.
17 Find and Catch AHMET ERALP KÜÇÜK 14B-EVKCQ Informatics and Communication Technologies (ICT) Applications The Find and Catch project is a system for finding lost objects via mobile devices. It also warns users regarding unwanted movement of objects and shows their location. For example, when our handbag, which is supposed to be at home, is removed, it sends information to the owner s mobile device and shares its location. The Find and Catch project aims to enable us to find lost or removed objects. B Panilux MUSTAFA ÖZGÜR 14B-JOYWI To carry out local linux server web automation in Turkey. Fashioneye MEHMED OĞUZ ŞEN 14B-IVWYA Fashioneye involves fashion modules operating on Bluetooth4.0 technology installed on garments or accessories during production. The Fashioneye mobile app which can read these modules will enable people to view information on garments and accessories around them on their mobile devices and buy the items that they like online. This will make referral online sales possible for clothing and accessories companies.
18 Informatics and Communication Technologies (ICT) Applications The Monitoring and Control of Gas Storage Tanks via Mobile Phones ERCAN DÜZGÜN 14B-MPYRQ B The project will enable the remote monitoring and control of gas storage tanks via mobile phones. The manual valves in autoclaves will be replaced by electromechanical valves and pressure and temperature sensors will be used in the tanks to carry out mathematical modelling on integrated circuits, to obtain data on fullness and pressure levels. These outputs will be sent to the users in graphic form via a software in smart phones. Users will also be able to control their tanks in emergencies or when needed, such as when the pressure rises. SyncBox HELTON MALAMBANE 14B-WSMXA The main aim of the project is to bring multiple household automation gadgets and sensors under a single platform. The SyncBox makes it possible to monitor and interact with devices such as lighting bulbs, TVs, fire and gas sensors from in and out of our homes. Users can interact with the households and sensors using an app on their mobile devices or using a web interface. Easy installation, no electrician required. 14B-QTMUY The Design and Manufacture of a Walking Mechanism System Through the Solid Works Software MUSTAFA TİMUR Walking mechanism systems are resistant groups of objects designed in a way as to transmit motion, force and energy, when required. Many mechanisms consist of rigid connections in order to carry out these transmissions. However, these connections have started to pose problems in applications requiring high sensitivity in the transmission of motion. This system was designed and produced in order to overcome the problems in walking mechanisms and to facilitate their use in sensitive applications.
19 Smart Opportunity Management System Software AYŞE GEÇKİL 14B-EYQBT Informatics and Communication Technologies (ICT) Applications To build a smart opportunity management package with dynamic parts, compatible with mobile devices, and with high accessibility, which will identify the habits of users through artificial intelligence algorithms based on user data or data coming from the user s social media friends or from people with the same profile. The package will also offer special offers and/or products to the user. The package also aims to increase commercial productivity by providing companyspecific statistics. B 14B-HYBJQ Animation Software Designed for use in Medicine, Biology and Molecular Biology ERDEM ERİKCİ The aim of the project is to produce a software which will facilitate the making of 3D animations in medicine, biology and molecular biology. This will enable scientists, students, teachers, doctors or pharmacists to produce their own animations without any background in graphic design. This software will add a new dimension to information sharing in a time when information is becoming more demanding and complex, yet viewers have less time and patience. Sign-Reading Glasses KEMAL KARAOĞLAN 14B-QSWQK This is an electronic device created for the visually impaired, foreigners, illiterate individuals or for people with poor eye sight. It offers the user audio information about his surroundings.

AHMET KARAKÜÇÜK B With more people using cameras, more photos are shared on the social media. In the meantime, certain marks hidden in the pictures give away the identity of the camera owner. These marks enable connections to be made between people and locations, which in turn violates the privacy of personal data. The project aims to design a method to prevent the violation of privacy of users through the hidden marks in the pictures. Motion Perception Physisical Therapy Application Based on Information from Camera and Sensors AKIN CALIŞKAN 14B-BHRPP The project aims to perceive the human anatomic structure and movements in an accurate and speedy way by means of location change information which we obtain through the filtering of information coming from momentum and angular velocity sensors and the depth cameras which we use. Easy to use from a wide range of areas, we operate our system by using sensor information from mobile devices. GeminiQ TV GÖKHAN TERCAN 14B-GIFGO Available TV sets fail to offer high quality images because of a lack of sufficient and stable illumination in LED and LCDs. This project aims to enable the transmission of ultra digital images such as 4K, and UltraHD with a unique colour, brightness and sharpness. The main goal is to ensure this with lower energy costs.

The aim of the OTKAS project is to reduce traffic accidents by per cent. Bluetooth-Android Based Data Collection and Analysis Instrument Design for Industrial Measurement Systems FATİH ÖZCAN 14B-AVFPW Continuous monitoring and recording of electrical and physical data is a major industrial process in today s enterprises. The project includes a low-cost mobile Data Collection and Analysis system design with the possibility of easy software development. Flight Routing System for Small Aircrafts SEZGİN ZERDELCİ 14B-GQRGJ The project involves the identification of the ideal route to be used for reaching a given destination point from a point occupied by a small unmanned multicopter. For the purposes of this procedure, the obstacles between given points are defined by signalers and the shortest possible route is determined through a suitable optimization algorithm resulting in a three dimensional map which offers access to the point of destination in the shortest possible way. Solutions may also be offered for obstacles impeding access between given points.
23 Cloud Device MAHMUT DURGUN 14B-LXUKW Informatics and Communication Technologies (ICT) Applications Cloud devices have been formed by enabling the sensor and control procedures of devices to use the internet data base. The purpose of the project is to produce a device which will store sensor data in remote servers, which will interact with other cloud devices, associate these devices with external data and connect real-time with any kind of device from any point, and moreover control, track and program them. B 14B-YHRFM tursos - Project for Gloves Translating Turkish Sign Language into Voice ELİF SAYGI BAVUNOĞLU tursos is a social responsibility project which aims to develop a technological glove translating Turkish Sign Language used by people with hearing/speech impairment into voice. Ide Architecture and Modeling ÇİĞDEM ÇAVDAROĞLU 14B-DKFVY İdeArc remodels the interior design process (data collection, processing, modeling, re-designing). Photos taken by mobile devices are processed through an enhanced reality technology and 3D object models and 2D color and pattern images are shown virtually in locations defined through user interaction in the live preview mode. Objects in the interior space are virtually erased, images are enriched and spatial information can be calibrated. Enables savings from time and resources.
24 Informatics and Communication Technologies (ICT) Applications Robomotion ÇİĞDEM ÇAVDAROĞLU 14B-XVMDZ B The goal of the project is to develop an embedded system which can perceive and identify real world events, determine the change in the mood and heart rate of a person caused by the event, generate behaviors and movements based on these two concepts and guide the robot by transmitting this information to the robot through signals. Equipping robots that are able to do mechanical actions with emotional abilities will make them usable in many different fields and applications. PCI Motion Control Card OZAN CİHANGİR 14B-WATBR In the industry, computer based motion control is used in production lines requiring sensitive position control and high speed, as well as in CNCs and robots. A standard computer does not have the necessary hardware to provide this control. Computers will need to be installed motion control cards and programmed in order to gain this ability. 25 14B-GJMCP The Development of an EEG-Based Wheelchair for Paralytic Patients EMRE GÖNÜLTAŞ Informatics and Communication Technologies (ICT) Applications This system will process the brain EEG signals in the computer and convert thoughts into commands by the use of the Emotiv device. When a paralytic person wants to walk, EEG signals will be perceived by the Emotiv thought device and processed by the computer and transferred to an electrical wheelchair as a command by wireless technology. The wheelchair will thus go in the direction instructed by the paralytic person and facilitate the meeting of daily needs. B 14B-RAYUD The Development of an Animal Feeding System Using Thermal Cameras BÜLENT EKER One of the main principles for increasing productivity in livestock breeding is to give weight-appropriate amounts and rations of feed. The project will ensure this by making use of a thermal camera diagnostic system and develop a feeding automation prototype.

27 Forest Fire Early Warning System NEVZAT ALKAN 14C-IAMUR Environmental and Energy Efficiency Applications In our country 300 million dollars are spent annually by only the government to combat forest fires. Our goal is to develop a system which will be much less costly than thermal cameras operating on wireless mash network and solar energy. The system will detect smoke and fire rapidly (< ~10 seconds) and report the location by centrally processing the images coming from HD cameras. The ultimate goal is to preserve this valuable asset which takes many years to grow with a lower cost. Produce Cabinet Dryer Assisted by Active Thermal and Photovoltaic Solar Energy BARTU BUGATUR 14C-SJGYI The project for developing a hybrid cabinet assisted by active thermal and photovoltaic solar energy aims to provide rapid drying for the vegetables and fruits grown in Turkey via special solar energy technologies, to decrease the amount of aflatoxin formed during natural drying and to reduce carbon emissions by replacing fossil fuels used in conventional drying processes. The project further aims to create new areas for application and employment. C Point Agricultural Meteorology Software and Decision Support Mechanisms BARAN M. DAĞ 14C-WPVAQ To generate past or future meteorological data for any coordinate instead of the nearest district center and to plan operational activities better based on these data. To make use of weather forecast to mitigate losses and to reduce costs.
28 Environmental and Energy Efficiency Applications The Development of a Special Maximum Power Tracker for Electrical Cars ALİ DURUSU 14C-RQZMZ This project aims to develop a maximum power tracker for electrical cars with multiple access and an algorithm revised specifically for these cars. The equipment and mechanisms to be used for this purpose will result in a maximum power tracker that is specific to these vehicles. C Innovative Bicycle KEMAL APAYDIN 14C-KFVNQ We aim to assemble an electronic product on the rear wheels of your current bicycle and turn your conventional bike into an innovative one which will run on electricity and charge itself during down-hill rides. Our goals are: 1. To reduce traffic congestion 2. A more healthy lifestyle. 3. To reduce CO2 emissions. Furthermore, the product assembled on your bike will also have internet connection which will enable you to control it via telephone. Combi Boiler Ethernet Interface & WEB Based Combi Boiler Software EMRE YILMAZ 14C-SRQFO Our project has been designed with the purpose of making more efficient use of the world s energy resources, living in a greener environment, minimizing heating and heating costs and maximizing productivity and comfort. The project aims to reduce Turkey s dependence in terms of R&D and production in the field of Heating-Cooling Systems and to turn Turkey from an importer to an exporter in this field.
29 Increasing Productivity in Food Production through the Use of Symbiotic Mushrooms ERDEM ERİKCİ 14C-LTKPW Environmental and Energy Efficiency Applications Investigations on plant biology and microbiology have revealed that the use of microorganisms assisting plants to develop in agricultural activities results in a productivity increase. This project will include a study on identifying application methods for the Glomus irregulare species mushroom, which is known to have symbiotic ties with plants, in the field of food production in the soil and climatic conditions of Turkey. Environment-Friendly Battery Charging System FUAT KARTAL 14C-ZHKAV An electronically-controlled battery charging system has been developed in order to enable the batteries of parked or moving vehicles to be charged with solar energy after deactivating the alternator. The system eliminates losses in charge in the battery when the engine is not running. The application has been able to charge a 12V 60 Ah car battery with two 20 W-solar energy panels. A completely empty battery could be charged fully in three days. C A System and a Method for Preventing the Fuel Transmission from Freezing in LPG-Powered Vehicles FUAT KARTAL 14C-NTLUS LPG, which is gasified easily by boiling in low temperatures is used as an alternative fuel in vehicle engines. In the winter months, especially when temperatures fall below zero, the heat LPG absorbs from the environment has a cooling effect. Therefore the fuel line and the entrance area of the regulator may freeze. The project involves the development of an electronically-controlled system which prevents the freezing of fuel lines in LPG-powered vehicles which operate in cold weather conditions.
30 Environmental and Energy Efficiency Applications Precious Metals Hidden in Used Batteries MAKBULE DENE 14C-EQSZR This project consists of the production of the machinery system for the recycling of used batteries in Turkey where the prototype stage has been successfully completed. The system will both prevent environmental damage caused by waste batteries and recover precious metals. Precious metals in waste batteries include Lithium, Cobalt, Zinc, Manganese, Steel and Aluminum. The system which enables the recovery of precious metals from waste batteries is a portable one. C The Use of the Energy Generated by a Solar Tracking System in Greenhouses by an Automation System ONUR ASLAN 14C-BBIUJ We aim to introduce solutions to problems in greenhouse farming such as heating, lighting and productivity through the solar tracking system we will develop. The power to be generated from the system will be used with an automation software. The energy to be generated will be used by automation control to keep the greenhouse temperature in the desired level. We thus aim to ensure energy savings and develop a system which will be environment-friendly thanks to the use of a clean energy resource. The Design and Production of a Smart Renewable Energy Data Collection Device ONUR KESKİN 14C-HRUFN The project will result in a device which will identify the energy potential of renewable energy areas intended to be developed. This will increase competitiveness by offering low cost solutions to the market in energy efficiency applications and provide energy savings which will translate into an added value. One of our major goals is to use cloud computing, which is becoming increasingly widespread, along with encryption algorithms for information security and acquire a superior position.
31 Special Cooling System For Refrigerators at Super Markets and Commercial Usage AAMISH UMAR 14C-ASRLT Environmental and Energy Efficiency Applications The Aim of this project is to reduce energy consumption for refrigeration at grocery stores and super markets by making use of environmental temperature rather than electricity for cooling. Recyclable Packaging Waste Collection Machine (Smart Container) ALPER BALOĞLU 14C-HUVEJ The recyclable packaging waste collection machine (Smart Container) has been developed with the aim of raising awareness on the importance of recycling through a reward system in the citizens of our country who still lack awareness in this field. It will further contribute to the national economy through recycling and help preserve our natural resources. C Piezoelectrical Cooling Systems MEHMET SAİT KILINÇ 14C-JKNMA Devices such as laptops, beamers, mobile phones, tablets, etc. are developing very rapidly with new features being added and their sizes becoming smaller. However, this complexity causes the devices to heat up more quickly. We are working on creating more efficient systems that occupy less space by replacing cooling systems used in these devices by a system which uses piezoelectric technology.
