The building size is defined in the four categories SFH Single-family houses (1-2 dwellings) TH Terraced houses MFH Multi-family houses (3-10 dwellings) AB Apartment blocks (11- dwellings)! 4 THE AUSTRIAN BUILDING TYPOLOGY The building type matrix:! 28 basic reference buildings 4 sizes, 7 construction period -> National Brochure! Five systems per building: heating and domestic hot water combined or not combined -> TABULA webtool! Definition of further parameters: Construction elements, geometry of building, environment, age and kind of technical systems, already implemented refurbishment measures,.. 15 CONCLUSIONS! The Austrian Typology: combination of EPC data information out of database with reference sources and the national statistical data for buildings and dwellings Energy certificate database future improvements:! organizational: collaboration among provinces! risk management: standardized automatic checks! innovation/ maintaince: wider availability for faster market penetration and feedback procedures! usability: make transfer of XML data into EPC calculation program possible! technical: one data standard, same data collection interface.
