2 Longspan is a frame to frame insulated wall panel system which can eliminate secondary steel work The paper we have printed on is from 80% postconsumer waste and the remaining 20% pulp is TCF (Totally Chlorine Free). This fibre is FSC certified (see fsc.org for details). In recognition, the range has been awarded both the NAPM and Eugropa recycled marks, two of the most prestigious and recognisable recycled certificates available. 5 Introduction The KS1000 LS Longspan System is a cost effective architectural wall system which provides quicker project completion, simpler installation and guaranteed performance. KS1000 LS Longspan wall panels can span up to 8.2 metres from support to support, providing enhanced aesthetics and reducing the need for secondary steelwork. 6 Product Data Application KS1000 LS Longspan is a frame to frame long spanning, secret fixed system which can be laid horizontally and vertically. It is suitable for all building applications except where there are low temperature controlled environments. Other thicknesses can be supplied to special order. Coatings External Weather Sheet XL Forté : 200 micron thick high performance coating applied to the weatherside of the panel. Designed to achieve high levels of durability and colour stability and is highly resistant to damage in transit and on-site. Spectrum - polyurethane semi-gloss coating. Colorcoat Prisma - 50 micron thick coating. 16 metallic colours. HPS200 Ultra - Nominal 200 micron thick high performance coating. Reverse side of sheet coated with grey polyester coating. The steel is available in either plain or stucco embossed finish. Coatings Internal Liner Sheet Bright White Polyester: Coating developed for use as the internal lining of insulated panels. Standard colour is bright white with an easy clean surface. Aquasafe 200: 200 micron thick coating used in areas where there is high internal humidity, or a corrosive environment. Cleansafe: a chemically inert polymer film bonded to steel substrate for cladding of cold stores, food processing buildings and other hygiene applications. Reverse side of sheet coated with a light grey polyester coating. The sheet is available in either plain or stucco embossed finish. These panels cannot be end lapped. 6

7 Insulation Core The core of KS1000 LS Longspan is a, closed cell PIR insulation which is non-deleterious with zero Ozone Depletion Potential (zero ODP). Seals Factory Applied Side Joint Seal All side joints have a factory applied seal fitted into the groove to automatically seal the joint between panels. Performance Thermal Insulation Panel Thickness (mm) U-value W/m 2 K U-value - Thermal transmittance W/m 2 K Biological KS1000 LS Longspan panels are resistant to attack from mould, fungi, mildew and vermin. No urea formaldehyde is used in the manufacture of the panels. Fire Steel inner and outer facings have a Class 1 surface spread of flame to BS476 Part 7: 1987, and are Class 0 as defined by the Building Regulations. KS1000 LS Longspan is approved by the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) to LPS1181. Packing Standard Packing KS1000 LS Longspan panels are stacked face up and require turning over during unpacking / erection. Removable hot melt adhesive is laid between each panel. The top, bottom, sides and each end are protected with polystyrene and timber packing and the entire pack is wrapped in polythene. The number of panels in each pack depends on the panel thickness, as shown in the table below. Typical pack height is 1100mm. Panel Core Thickness No. panel/pack (max.)
