Summary: Working from their home, the Speech Language Pathologist will provide virtual speech therapy to students K-12 throughout various Connections Academy schools, in addition to special education case management duties for select students receiving speech services only. They will connect with students using webcams and web conferencing software, while using the school's Learning Management System to manage their caseload and minimize paperwork. They will enjoy flexible hours and no commute! We are seeking both part-time and full-time employees. This is a work at home position. Responsibilities: The Speech Language Pathologist will be responsible for the successful completion of the following tasks: Planning and implementing therapy in a virtual environment. Timely and complete documentation of therapeutic interventions. Communicate regularly with parents/learning coaches of students with speech/language needs to insure that their IEP goals are being met, and that their needs are addressed in a timely and appropriate fashion. Consult with teachers and coordinate the implementation of specially designed instruction as defined in the IEP regarding students with speech/language needs and potential learning issues. Assist, as needed, with the organization and proper implementation of all paperwork, documentation and procedures for the IEP process for select students. Maintain accurate and up-to-date data in the school s Learning Management System and special education software. A full time position may also include the following duties: Assisting the Supervisor of Speech Language Services with special projects related to improvement of the Connections Academy Virtual Speech Program. Occasional travel to local Connections Academy office for meetings or assessments as needed. Special education case management duties for select students receiving speech services only. Audiologist shall at all times during the term of their Agreement and any renewal or extensions hereof, maintain an unlimited license to practice audiology in designated state(s) of practice. 4. Audiologist shall at all times during the term of the Agreement and any renewal or extension hereof maintain an unlimited license to fit and dispense hearing aids and similar appliances in designated state(s) of practice. 5. Audiologist shall at all time during the term of this Agreement and any renewal or extensions hereof, maintain an unlimited license to operate a motor vehicle in designated state(s) of practice. 6. Daily travel (up to 2.5 hours one way, if exceeds 3 hours a hotel stay is possible) to assigned facilities throughout the state. Drive time is exclusive of work time. 8. Transporting Audiological equipment and setting up equipment in the visit room at the facility. 9. Check in with home upon arrival and check out with home when leaving. 10. Assist patient by making adjustments to hearing aids for comfort and proper fit. 11. Complete exam forms, charting and documentation of paperwork and reports as requested. Copy all forms as necessary or required. 12. Preparation of all documentation for mailing. 13. Retrieve and return all charts as necessary. 14. Call your scheduler two times per day; mid-day and at close of the visit(s) 15. If absent (scheduled or unscheduled) ensure the manager on duty and scheduler are contacted. 16. Keep a tally of supplies needed for ordering and restocking. 17. Clean up supplies and area when finished. 18.
