3 Disaster Recovery and Redundancy All Euphoria services are designed with redundancy. Euphoria Telecom is based within the national next generation network (NGN) VoIP network that is currently managing over 60 million minutes a month and handling all the voice requirements of 25% of the top 200 companies in South Africa. The system has multiple services and systems that work in conjunction with each other to provide the maximum amount of redundancy, availability and scalability. There are multiple application servers that can handle requests from client phone; hence if one server fails another server can seamlessly start handling the requests of the client s phones. The system databases are mirrored locally and offshore as well backed up nightly and stored in 3 separate geographic locations. The main NGN data center is a class A facilities with full power redundancy, including UPS and onsite generator backup. Access and Security Euphoria s online management portal access uses 256bit encryption for client access, the same level as local Internet banking. The extension SIP accounts can be directly linked to a closed voice only network. The result is secure system that is not accessible to standard Internet and cannot be hacked from random external sources. Euphoria also offers a secure connection using ViBE technology for shared or dedicated connections. This is an authenticated secure tunnel, much like a VPN, and ensures secure transmission of your calls over the general Internet. There is more on ViBE technology later in this document. Each Euphoria Cloud PBX can be prepaid or a credit limit for post-paid accounts. Even though our system is extremely secure, in the disaster scenario of your details being compromised, the monthly credit limit is a last line of defense against abuse of the account by unauthorised parties. System Support Along with our 24/7/365 network operations center, customers are guaranteed efficient and reliable service from Euphoria. Our support hours are Monday to Friday 08h30 to 17h30, after hours support is provided for emergencies, however the network is monitored constantly and any arising problems are dealt with immediately. 4 Pure per second billing Telecom companies are generally quite creative with their billing processes, with per minute billing, or per 30 second increments, as well as connection fees, your bill increases exponentially. Euphoria is a pure per second billing platform, so if you call for 1 second, you pay for 1 second. It is the most cost effective billing platform available and generally saves clients 25 to 35% over a standard fixed line operator bill. Using ViBE technology also means that you no longer need as much expensive bandwidth to carry VoIP traffic between your office and the Cloud PBX. ViBE virtually eliminates packet overhead, reducing the bandwidth required by a codec 32k (G729) to its original size 8.1k.
