2 Pay Per Click Advertising Every business would enjoy more customers it s finding them that s the tricky thing Pay per click advertising places your business in front of a prospective customer at the exact time they are looking for your product or service. It provides one of the most cost effective and measurable forms of advertising for any business. Having just searched for your product or service they arrive at your site as pre-qualified leads not simply website browsers. This increases the chances of the individual enquiring about your service or buying your product. 3 What is Pay Per Click Advertising? Search engines deliver this information in two ways natural listings, and sponsored listings. Sponsored listings Natural listings are listings that are not paid for and that appear in normal search results. Sites appear solely because a search engine has deemed it editorially important for them to be included, regardless of payment, also called Organic Listings. These listings are linked to keywords in the search engine s index. High natural listings are built over time and are dependant on optimised site coding, content relevant to the search phrase and links from other relevant and reputed sites. Sponsored listings are paid-for text based ads appearing at very top and on the right hand side of search engine results. Search engine paid placement networks are a shortcut to achieving high placement in search engine listings and can generate huge volumes of targeted traffic. Pay per click advertising allows advertisers to bid for terms that are relevant to their business, gaining a high profile in search engines, paying only for the traffic delivered via the listings to their website. 02

4 Where do you get Pay Per Click Advertising? Sponsored search listings are distributed across the Internet through search engines and other websites including: and many, many others How it works? The advertiser specifies key search phrases that are relevant to their business i.e. a Pet Grooming Parlour may specify pet grooming, grooming parlour, dog grooming, grooming salon etc The advertiser compiles a short advert relevant to their business and the keywords in question, e.g. Pooch Parlour Dog and pet grooming service. Pet washing, grooming and misc hygiene. The advertiser bids for position with the chosen keywords (the more competitive the category, the higher the required bid amount). The higher the bid the higher the advert ranks advertisers only pay the bid amount when a customer clicks on their advert listing and is routed through to the advertisers website. The result is a very cost effective way of delivering targeted customer leads to advertiser s websites. 03

6 How much will it cost? As we have no minimum contract we charge a one off fee to cover set up of your campaigns. This cost will depend on the complexity of the campaign and costs start from VAT Ongoing fees will be dependent on the budget allocated and complexity of campaign. However, we run a completely transparent service with clients paying for their clicks directly with Google and the other search engines. We additionally charge a monthly management fee to continue to optimise and drive effective clicks and to report on the leads delivered. This is a fixed cost with prices starting from as little as 75+ VAT per month. 05
