The defendant was escorted to the Archer bank lot where a name check revealed the defendant s license status was suspended. A subsequent investigation revealed the driver possessed a suspended Illinois driver s license. Information: The defendant was stopped for improper lane usage, crossing over solid white line while traveling west on College Drive in the 6800 block. Once stopped, the defendant was found to have been drinking and failed field sobriety tests at the scene. Later, the defendant refused to submit to any chemical tests. Southwest Hwy., Palos Heights, IL. Information: The defendant was in a vehicle that was found parked at the Palos Heights Metra station. Police checked on the vehicle to make sure the occupants were OK. Once next to the vehicle, police observed a strong odor of burning cannabis coming from inside the vehicle. Driver learned to be driving on a suspended license and showed signs of alcohol intoxication. Driver failed subsequent field sobriety tests and provided a breath sample over the legal limit. There was no insurance on the vehicle.
