3 Existing infrastructure: 65% of households in Sweden have access to charging/electric outlets by their parking place The electricity system in Sweden is very well established - a large scale introduction of EVs will not have a significant impact on electricity networks The Swedish grids are dimensioned for cold winter days, when the electricity demand from industry and households peaks Approximately 65% of the Swedish population has easy access to electrical outlets at home or at work - through the engine block heaters and they are used to plug in a car!! 3

9 Why a national Swedish EV procurement? Together we can make sure that EVs come to Sweden Push the development towards a cleaner and more quiet vehicle fleet Make it possible to buy/lease EVs and PHEVs under the best conditions Simple and secure way to buy/lease EVs and PHEVs For public organisations: save time and money since the process in done coordinated instead on individually Funding for the extra cost of the EV/PHEV by maximum SEK Goals: 150 org. & vehicles At least 8 offers from the car industry 9

10 Support for the Swedish Energy Authority! Co-ordinated national Swedish procurement of EVs and PHEVs Test fleet of 50 EVs Procurement process Funding for EVs/PHEVs Total budget 248 miljon SEK. Support from the Swedish Energy Authority with 25 %, that is 62 miljon SEK (outof which 55 milj SEK in funding for vehicles) 10

25 Funding for part of the additional cost for EV/PHEVs Funding available for the first EVs/PHEVs that are bought under the frame work agreements signed: 25 % of the additional cost, maximum SEK ( 5 000) 2/3 to be received at one, 1/3 year 2014 Have to own the car or least it for 36 months In return: Information on the vehicle Report data and answer questionnaires Reserve time for the work First come first serve - but all participating organisations have one funding reserved/org. for one year. 25
