1 Current Situation The following technology is currently in place: District-Wide Direct connection to the Internet via 6 Mb leased line to SBC. We are pending a 80 mb upgrade which is ½ of a OC3. District web servers provides district information. District video server provides instructional videos District server provides district wide communications District TIES server in place provides student data. District Root Domain Controller provides active directory services. Cigarroa High School There are four file servers one is used for applications, one for library, 1 for domain control and one for TNG. There are 107 classrooms of which 99 have four to eight drops in every classroom. There are two to eight computers in every classroom. There are 22 computer labs ranging from 6 to 24 computers. Special Education has four labs; two of 7 computers, one of 6 and the other of 10 computers. There is one mobile lab of 24 units; there is a 16 unit CEI lab. Language Arts has a lab of 12. Math has a lab of 11; Science has two labs, one of 12 and one of 13. This school year , we implemented a lab of 16 for the PITSCO Pathways Curriculum. There is an open lab of 19 computers that is also used for Plato. There are two minilabs of 6 computers each for the SR180 program. CATE has 8 dedicated labs; 2 labs of 21, one of 16, one of 23, one of 22, two of 20 and one of 24 computers. the library for Cigarroa Complex. Two full-time technology campus trainers are campus-based to aid the staff in technology implementation and Martin High School School has fiber-backbone, Ethernet-to-the-desktop connects computers. There are four servers; one is used for applications, one for the library, one for domain controller and one for the management (TNG). There are 130 classrooms, all of which have four to eight drops. There are two to eight computers in every classroom (not counting the computer labs). the library for Martin High School. There are three full-time technology campus trainers and two full-time technicians are campus-based to aid the staff in technology implementation and
2 Nixon High School There are four servers; one is used for applications, one for the library, one for domain controller and one at the Nixon Annex for There are 113 classrooms; one hundred seven of them have four to eight drops. There are two to eight computers in every classroom (not counting the computer labs). the library for Nixon High. Nixon has 10 computer labs for CATE classes. Each lab has between networked computers with Internet access. There is also a mini lab of 7 computers for Accounting and one of 11 computers for Cosmetology. There are two open labs available, one has 27 computers and the other has 30 wireless laptops. Three full-time technology campus trainers are campus-based to aid the staff in technology implementation and Lara Academy There are four servers; one is used for applications, one for the library, one for domain controller and one for the management (TNG). There are 17 classrooms; all of which have four to eight drops. There are two to eight computers in every classroom Currently working on getting library networked and have automated checkout in the Lara Library. One part-time technology campus trainer is available to aid the staff in technology implementation and training Christen Middle School There are three servers; one for application, one for the library and one for domain controller. Christen Middle has four labs. One lab of 22 and one of 24 computers are being used for Computer Literacy classes. The third lab is an opened lab where teachers are scheduled to take their classes and the other lab is being utilized as a CEI lab. All labs are networked and have internet access. the library. Cigarroa Middle has two labs; one with 25 computers and one with 30. the library for Cigarroa Complex Two full-time technology campus trainers are campus-based to aid the staff in technology implementation and Lamar Middle School There are three servers; one for application, one for the library and one for domain controller. There are nine networked computer labs at Lamar Middle. Two labs are used for CEI, two are used for social studies, 1 for keyboarding and four are used for Language Arts. the library. Two full-time technology campus trainers are campus-based to aid the staff in technology implementation and Memorial Middle School There are three servers; one for application, one for the library and one for domain controller. Memorial has eight networked computer labs. Three labs are assigned to the grade level; one for sixth, one for seventh, and one for eighth. One lab of 6 is for the SR180, one lab of 12 computers is for the CEI, one lab of 22 and one of 26 computers are used as regular classrooms, and one is used for career orientation class. the library.
