1 The Woolly Sheep challenge is for all sections Badges cost 1.00 each plus postage 1st Welshpool Brownies have produced this challenge to raise funds for the unit to have more exciting Pack Holidays. Choose which challenges you like, they do not have to be done in any order. The challenge is for you to have fun discovering different activities related to Sheep and wool or you can just buy the badge. Details of how to order the badge are on the last page. Enjoy!

2 Woolly Sheep Challenge Feel free to adapt any of the activities to suit your unit. Rainbows should aim to complete 3 challenges Brownies should aim to complete 5 challenges Guides, Senior Section, Leaders and Trefoil should complete at least 6 challenges. 1. Learn to knit, if you can already knit make something useful. 2. Learn to crochet, if you can already crochet make something useful. 3. Make a tapestry picture using wool. 4. Plait some wool to make a friendship bracelet. 5. Visit a farm to see lambs. 6. Watch a film with sheep in (A Close Shave, Shaun the Sheep, Babe). 7. Play the Sheep game (in pairs, one blindfolded sheep who go into the middle of the circle, the other half of the pair is the farmer, they stand in a circle surrounding the sheep and call the name of their sheep, farmers must stay still while the sheep move around until they find their farmer ). 8. Try felting, you could get someone to come and show you how. 9. Try weaving as simple or as complicated as you like. 10. Make a collage using wool & cotton wool. 11. Make a God s Eye using sticks and wool. 12. Make some sheep food - there are lots of ideas on the challenge Pinterest page. 13. Cook something using lamb or lamb mince is the Chinese year of the Sheep, find out about what other animals there are in the Chinese calendar and find out the story. 15. People who look after sheep are called shepherds, read the story about The Boy Who Cried Wolf, act out the story. 16. Sing some Sheep songs. 17. Make a sheep using marshmallows and chocolate sticks. 18. Make a Sheep trail - see more ideas in the resources section. 19. Sheep are thought to follow the crowd, play a game where you have to copy each others actions. 20. Make a sheep mask.

Give each sheep a simple name and shape so that girls answer the question e.g which sheep has a circle? c. Write clues on each sheep to lead to the next one d. Place a number on each sheep to see if girls can find all numbers e. Colour the sheep in team colours and spread around your meeting place for teams to find their colour sheep. f.
