7 Mike Veitch Managing Director Mike has over 40 years experience in the transport planning field - including 34 years as a consultant. He has extensive experience in travel demand forecasting across all modes of transport and has been responsible for the development of multi-modal travel forecasting models for all the mainland State capital cities in Australia. Mike has extensive experience in road network planning at both a strategic and local level. He has also spent seven years of his career dedicated to public transport policy formulation and the detailed, hands on rationalisation of public transport systems, both in Australia and in Hong Kong. In many ways Mike is unique in transportation planning circles in Australia, having a major role in travel model and associated software development, as well as being involved in a range of major transport planning studies on a day to day basis. He has been invited on several occasions to present lectures on transport planning and modelling in Australia and in China, the latter under the sponsorship of the World Bank. Mike also has had a long history of producing investment grade traffic and toll revenue forecasts for both Greenfield and brownfield toll roads in Australia s east coast capital cities.
