An open academic discussion and critical debate format will be included, and involvement and active participation of surgical residents will be fostered. These elements are critical for the practicing surgeon to keep abreast of current technology and future investigations, with a goal to improve delivery of patient care. The format of the conference has been developed to provide attendees with the most up-to-date information on advances and challenges relating to current leading edge surgical procedures, instrumentation and technology. The gathering of recognized leading experts, as well as prominent surgeons from Central Texas and the outstanding scientific program, will make this a national event of the highest level.
