1 Board Meeting 02/01/2006 PERSONNEL REPORT NO. 16 Approval of Short-term Sabbatical Leaves for It is recommended that short-term sabbatical leaves be authorized for the following Faculty: Faculty Short-Term Sabbatical Ehrich, Lisa Fine Arts Brookhaven College Synopsis: Inventory existing image bank of instructional slides, identify weak and outdated areas, and enhance the delivery system by converting the slide presentations to digital presentations. This will provide an improved delivery of information that supports students learning experience by utilizing state-of-the-art technology. The instructor will also update her professional portfolio to this current format of presentation to provide an example for students. Osentowski, Francis Visual & Performing Arts North Lake College Synopsis: Produce online materials for use with Music Appreciation courses. The materials will be produced during Summer Session I using cutting-edge technology including interactive internet technology, audio & video, online and offline content, and other state-of-the-art technologies. Online materials will include substantial original content including text, video taped interviews with metroplex musicians, interactive online materials, and a variety of additional educational materials. The instructor will also attend classes offered in the District to become proficient in the use of interactive features of Blackboard and other software. The online content will be based on an approach evolved over 35 years teaching Music Appreciation in the DCCCD.
