3 1. About the course This programme is designed for leadership teams comprising of 2-5 senior managers representing small to medium sized companies with turnover greater than 1m. This course is available exclusively at the following Business Schools: The 5 day programme will be facilitated by world class business schools in a peer to peer learning environment with breakout sessions; A close interactive atmosphere with between 6 to 12 businesses involved; Where practical business enterprise education is imparted onto the leadership team in short taught phases. What makes this course different? Your company has been carefully selected through GrowthAccelerator as a potential hyper growth company. The team-based learning environment with other SME's is unique, and exclusively available to GrowthAccelerator supported businesses. 3

The Benefits Designed as a strategic planning exercise to help senior management teams explore opportunities for growth, this course will examine current efforts from a new perspective and identify options for new expansion. This course will help: 1. Guide teams through a strategic review of the current business to identify growth opportunities. 2. Work as a team out of the office. This process will build greater communication amongst the senior management team. 3. Open viewpoints and examine innovation (rewards and risks) from other perspectives. 4. Provide information on techniques to develop organisational resilience, and develop options for further growth. 5. Guide your leadership team through a process to action growth strategies, implemented through best practices of identifying opportunities for continued innovation. 4

5 3. Course Structure The course will comprise of five full days of delivery, with each session tackling a specific theme and lasting approximately 6 to 8 hours per day. Days 1-2 consecutively in Week 1 Day 1 and day 2 will be held back to back, with the remaining days held either weekly or bi-weekly thereafter.* Day 3 in Week 3 The sessions, on day 1-3 & 5, will comprise of a mix of content delivery, plenary discussion, facilitated breakout sessions and plenary feedback. There will also be pre and post tasks set for each session. Day 4: Will be a series of mini workshops. The themes will have evolved from the challenges faced by the businesses in the previous three days. Day 4 in Week 5 Day 5 in Week 7 * Participants will be expected to agree to the time commitments in order to be accepted onto the programme. 5

Course Structure What you will learn The themes for each day are: Day 1 Day 2 - Day 3 - Day 4 - Day 5 - Using the Past to Build the Future Making a Foundation of the Present Exploring Future Options How Can Existing Businesses Do New Things? Planning Future Actions Day 4 will comprise of a short series of 2 hour workshops, where participants will select from a list of topics that have evolved from the prior three days. These may include*: Finance, Leadership, Exit Strategies, Digital Marketing, HR Management, and Recruitment. * Final courses available are subject to class size. 6

7 4. Learning Outcomes This course will leave each participant with the following learning outcomes: Day 1: Develop and articulate a shared corporate story of growth. Examine how factors of a changing business environment open opportunities as well as risk for their companies. Explore pivotal decisions from the companies past to better understand decision processes and explore new options for growth. Day 2: Create a vision of what future success could look like. Understand the nature of ambidextrous organisation. Begin to identify how to make their current organisation more resilient and accepting of change. Have explored ways to create an environment for continued innovation. Day 3: Gain an understanding of the limitations of decision making and emotions in the growth process. Create a structured analysis of growth options. Begin to consider how to face resistance to change. Start to expand the view of who may be impacted by growth scenarios and change. Day 4: Day 4 will involve a series of mini workshops. The themes will have evolved from the challenges faced by the businesses in the previous three days. Day 5: Chosen one or two potential directions for growth. Developed an initial plan for next steps in exploring growth opportunities. Have built an understanding of how to start the building of an ambidextrous organisation. 7

8 5. What does the course cost? The cost for the business per participant is 1,125. The course is valued at 2, VAT per participant. The course has a 1,875 grant applied leaving the balance payable of 1,125 of which 500 is VAT (this can be reclaimed if the business is registered). Once the VAT is reclaimed, the final cost of the programme is 625 per participant. 8
