As a graduate student, I see professional development at this stae, as a period during which I hope to gain the skills and knowledge, such as how to optimally network with others, to become an autonomous professional in my current field as well as to broaden my skill set so that I may fit in other fields as well. Strengthening skills that are immediately applicable to career development in the short term.
