Individual assignments in your field of expertise will be designed and planned to enhance your career development and deliver immediate value to BASF. The program focuses on financial management and consists of assignments in business groups, financial functions and logistics. Projects include preparing operational plans, breakeven analysis, acquisitions and divestitures. A technical undergraduate degree is desirable but not necessary. First-year MBA students only : GPA 3.0+ International perspective required, international experience preferred Three to five years work experience prior to MBA/international experience preferred Undergraduate finance or technical degree preferred (e.g. chemistry, engineering, etc.) Bilingual preferred, German fluency preferred Intercultural orientation, business acumen Authorization to work in the U.S. without restriction Logistics/Customer Care Internship The qualified candidate will be responsible for the management of customer orders through the entire order fulfillment process. The intern will ensure complete customer satisfaction through timely, thorough follow-through keeping the customer appraised of their account status. The intern will function in a team environment while retaining the ability to empower themselves to perform their specific job functions and make decisions that are in the best interests of the customer and BASF. Two domestic six-month assignments in your field of expertise will be designed for your first year in the program. In the second year, PDP participants will be required to participate in a minimum of a three-month assignment in Germany and an additional nine-month international assignment with the sponsoring group. The team is comprised of 11 members from various sites in the North American region. We have taken years of service and experience levels into consideration in the composition of the team. Members represent a variety of communities: manufacturing and engineering, sales and marketing, purchasing, customer service, finance, research and development, human resources, PMU and legal. Each team member serves at least two years. We have two executive women in the team, and we meet once a month for an hour via virtual teleconference and also for two days in person for our annual diversity strategy meeting.
