Many musicians today are not only active as creative artists but also as producers and distributors of their music. They have to take on management tasks, navigate the marketing of their music, undertake professional media activities and strategically plan their careers. The digitalisation of music and the globalisation of music creation have radically changed the conditions for artistic production. Therefore, the traditional differentiation between creative artists, music promoters and music listeners is now being challenged by current market structures, changes in consumer behaviour as well as new patterns of reception. The Certified Programme Music and Law deals with the main areas of law in the music industry and the current challenges associated with it.
