Programming & Services on Move-in Day University Dining Hours of Operation Please see 7 a.m. - 8 p.m. Entropy+ Cohon Center, First Floor Stop by to pick up coffee, snacks, toiletries or other essentials at our campus convenience store. 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. University Stores Cohon Center, First Floor and Lower Level Explore two levels of the Campus Bookstore, Art Store and Computer Store and stock up on Carnegie Mellon supplies and accessories!

3 8:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. Housing and Dining Services Margaret Morrison Storefront at 5134 Margaret Morrison Street and 4700 Fifth Avenue Stop by if you have questions or need assistance. 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. ID Card Photos The HUB, Lower Level, Warner Hall A12 If you did not submit a photo for your ID Card prior to July 10, you will be supplied with a temporary key to access your room at Residence Hall Check-In. You must report to The HUB to have a photo taken in order to receive your student ID Card, which serves as your room key. Please bring your Residence Hall Check- In envelope with you. Commuter students will receive their student ID Cards at Orientation Check-in or at the Commuter Students Reception at 3 p.m. this afternoon. 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Enrollment Services The HUB, Lower Level, Warner Hall A12 Visit The HUB to speak with a Student Services Specialist regarding general student account, financial aid and student loan inquiries. Questions regarding tuition payments, ID Cards and Plaid Cash accounts may be directed here. First-year course registration concerns may be addressed to individual colleges at this time. 9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Postal Services Cohon Center, Lower Level Student mailboxes are located on the lower level of the Cohon Center and are assigned by the Student Mailbox Code (SMC) available on SIO. There is also a fully functional branch of the United States Postal Services located on the lower level as well as a package pick-up window. 9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Orientation Information Kirr Commons, Cohon Center Lobby Orientation staff will be available to answer questions or provide directions as needed throughout the day.

Please note that PNC Bank has been selected as the Carnegie Mellon preferred banking partner. Students with a PNC account can link it to their Carnegie Mellon ID card, which will then function as an ATM card. 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Computing Help Cyert Hall 119 Visit the Computing Services Help Center for your computing and account related questions. Following her remarks about the student experience and what families can do to support their students as they transition to college life, Dean Casalegno will open the floor to questions from students and family members. She will be joined by representatives from Student Affairs, Enrollment Services, Housing Services, Dining Services, University Health Services, Counseling and Psychological Services, Career and Professional Development Center and University Police who will be available to answer specific questions, All look forward to demonstrating the web of support that exists as we welcome you to the CMU community. 11 a.m. Shadyside Presbyterian Church Worship Service and Campus Ministry Meet-n-Greet 5121 Westminster Place (just off Fifth Avenue on Amberson Street, one block from Morewood Avenue) Students and family are invited to join for our regular Sunday service and then meet Campus Ministry staff in the Sharp Atrium following worship. 11 a.m. - 1:15 p.m. Lutheran Student Fellowship Worship and Open House at First Trinity Lutheran Church 533 North Neville Street Students, families and friends are all welcome to join us for worship at 11 a.m. with luncheon to follow; for more information, please contact us at 11 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Lunch Wiegand Gymnasium and Rangos Ballroom, Cohon Center New students and family members are invited to enjoy complimentary lunch. 8 2:30-4 p.m. Ice Cream Social for Legacy Students and Families Alumni House, 5017 Forbes Avenue A legacy student is anyone with family members who are CMU alumni. Family members are also welcome to attend. Commuter students who have not yet received their student ID can pick it up at this reception. 4-5 p.m. President s Address Baker Lawn Tent Students and family members are invited to attend a welcome address by Dr. Subra Suresh, president of Carnegie Mellon University. 5-7:30 p.m. Family Dinner and Farewell This is an opportunity to have dinner on your own. Dine at a local restaurant or at an on campus dining facility to celebrate the beginning of your academic journey. 9 5 p.m. InterVarsity Christian Fellowship Welcome Dinner Schenley Plaza (4100 Forbes Avenue) Meet at Walking to the Sky Monument at 5 p.m. InterVarsity at CMU welcomes students and parents to campus. We want to help students and parents get connected to the Christian community at CMU. There is no cost for students to eat. InterVarsity is an interdenominational Christian student organization open to anyone. 5:15 p.m. Catholic Mass and Dinner Connan Room, Cohon Center The Catholic Newman Club sponsors the event and will introduce students and family members to the CMU Catholic Campus Ministry. 5:30-7:30 p.m. Dinner for First-Year Students on Their Own Wiegand Gymnasium, Cohon Center 7 p.m. Lutheran Campus Ministry (ELCA) Worship in the Wright-Rogal Chapel, Cohon Center All students and families are invited to close their opening day of orientation by gathering for worship in the Wright-Rogal Chapel.
