6 Labs Contents Four (4) sets of labs: each set consists of 3 exercises Rules: conducting and submitting the exercises The exercises must be carried out in groups of two students. The members of each group must belong to the same course group. Office hours for discussing doubts Each group must submit ONLY ONE exercise of each set (set1_ex_n; set2_ex_n ) Submission of the exercises will be through Aula Global AND at the beginning on the session indicated in the timetable of the labs Assessment Each set corresponds to 25% of the final mark of the exercises Marks will be published in Aula Global as either Pass or Fail Those students who fail to pass a set of exercises (1, 2, 3 or 4) must discuss the exercises with the teacher responsible for small groups during office hours

7 Case of study Contents You will design and develop a web user interface The user interface will be implemented by using the technologies used in the programming exercises The user interfaces must be useful and usable according to criteria established through heuristics, patterns and design principles Rules: conducting and submitting the case of study Groups of 4 students. All the students must belong to the same group of the course. Doubts and queries: office hours (preferable) or in lab sessions Case study will be submitted through Aula Global. The oral presentation is mandatory, and all the members of the group should participate in it Assessment Technology (30%) + User Interface (65%) + Presentation (5%) Oral presentation assessed by the teacher responsible of the small group

8 Final exam Content Open questions Rules: sitting the exam The final exam is mandatory The mark of the final exam is only valid for the present course (it will be never valid for future courses or exam sessions) Assessment 5/10 to pass the exam Marks will be published in Aula Global

10 Rules related to the assessment Continuous assessment = submission of 4 programming exercises AND the case study (PLUS oral presentation) Mark of continuous assessment = it will be kept for extraordinary examination session, never between courses Lecturers will NEVER answer questions via Extraordinary examination session = ONLY for those students who have not passed the course
