4 When ACA passed in 2010, I had already been losing potential carriers for individual insurance, then my carriers started dropping like flies. I was a salesman without a decent product to sell. In 2011, I met Doug Chapman. He introduced me to PALIC immediately the direction of my career, which was in serious doubt, changed dramatically. The first year my income which was low, quadrupled. Then next year it doubled and I qualified for leadership conference. The next year it doubled again. In 2014 it looks like it might triple. My family and I are very grateful for the products and systems that Doug and National Group Marketing have put in place. This makes it easier for agent s to write and track list bills through E-App system. Before you submit any applications using the List Bill option, or the employer bank draft group, you will need to go through a training webinar to make sure you know how to properly set up the group and use the E-app system. For employer bank draft groups you can write up to 10 people but there are special forms necessary upfront in order to set the group up correctly. NOTE: If policy is paid for by employer the employer must authorize bank draft deduction weather it s on a list bill or individual policy. (Doc-7809) Tips From Palic Underwriter Often policies are held up because of counter offers and sometimes rejected by the client. NOTE: The number one reason is due to tobacco use. Counter offers can be avoided by making sure you go over all of the questions listed on the application. It is not enough to ask if they ve had any major health issue. Many times it s the Remarks From Doug Chapman As we all know our health insurance industry has been going through MASSIVE UNPRECEDENTED change in recent months. These changes have destabilized the market and has resulted in higher premium for consumers. Because of these changes agents and even carriers have fled the market. The intelligent agent knows that with change comes opportunity and our opportunity has never been greater than it is today. Making sure consumers have secure, affordable coverage is our Top Priority. Unstable rates create change in our circumstances making it even more conducive to doing business. In other words SALES!
