Demographics, employment characteristics, job characteristics, the Practice Environment Scale of the Nurse Work Index (PES-NWI) and the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) are being analyzed to examine factors associated psychiatric nurse burnout. Responsibilities related to this project included: o Worked closely with Faculty Advisor in performing all aspects of executing a research project including identification of a theoretical framework, preparation of the data for analysis, executing the analysis, and interpreting the study results. o Conducted literature searches and reviews for literature relevant to research topic. o Obtained a beginning level of proficiency with SAS, STATA, and SPSS to perform various statistical analyses. o Learned to program and interpret descriptive statistics and logistic regression modeling. o Assisted in preparing tables, posters and presentations o Coauthored a manuscript for publication.
