While these schools may have consortial relationships with colleges or universities, they are not controlled by or subsumed within the formal governance structure of a college or university University-Affiliated Schools are integral parts of larger teaching or research universities with multiple professional schools/graduate programs, typically offering research doctorates in more than one area. College-Affiliated Schools are integrally related to four-year colleges or teaching universities that have limited additional graduate or professional programs. Primary Racial/Ethnic Composition identifies the primary racial/ethnic composition of the student bodies as reported by each institution. Denomination indicates each institution's religious affiliation. Protestant Denominational schools are affiliated with a single or primary Protestant denomination. Inter/nondenominational includes schools with multiple or no denominational affiliation. Roman Catholic schools are diocesan, university departments of theology, and religious order (including union) seminaries in the United States and Canada. Orthodox schools represent Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America and Orthodox Church in America. ATS Data Tables : 1 - Institutional Characteristics
