2 Dear Participants, 6 th Conference on Tobacco or Health will be held in Ataturk University, Erzurum in this year, so we think, the participants that haven t been in Erzurum before, will enable to recognise the historical, cultural and geographical features of Erzurum. Law No on the Prevention of Harmful Effects of the Tobacco Products, Framework Convention on Tobacco Control, National Tobacco Control Program, Law No amending Law No. 4207; Law on Amending the Law on Prevention of Harmful Effects of Tobacco Products that we have obtained as a result of great efforts, provide to be the first of our country in the list of countries, which is success of tobacco control in international platform. The success of our country increased even more on this issue with the Campaign Smoke-Free Air Space that began on May 19, 2008 and prohibition of the consumption of tobacco products in all indoor areas on July 19, Nowadays Tobacco or Health National Comittee that established on the basis of voluntary association for Smoke Free Turkey in 1995 and which the more than 40 official and civil organizations became a member of, had many activities and continues to gradually increase its works with the aim of contributing to the struggle for tobacco control in Turkey. The gradually increasing the successes of our country that has gained significant achievements to prevent the consumption of Tobacco Control and tobacco products is possible with our efforts and supports as primarily an individual and all institutions and organizations. Turkey may be the World Leader in the Fight Against Tobacco. We believe in that this congress will carry our country forward with your participations and supports in Tobacco Control. 5 ABSTRACTS The abstracts will be sent to the and their deadline is on May 15, The abstracts sent after this date will not be accepted. Abstract Preparation Guidelines Submissions of Abstracts have to be related with the Congress topics. The content of the abstract is under the responsibility of the author/authors. The Scientific Advisory Committee will not edit the abstract. Abstract has to include title of the presentation, author and Co-Authors affiliation and address. The abstract has to be very precise and include objectives, design, main results and conclusions. The abstract should not contain more than 300 words except from the title, name of the author and address. The abstract has to be written in with Times New Roman 10 and 12 size letters for the text and the titles respectively. Names have to be written in miniscule only with the first letters in capital, without any abbreviations and typing size has to be 10. Author s place of work has to be indicated.
