15 Remote Monitoring System for Off-grid Remote monitoring facility has a data logger, connected to the meter through RS 232/RS 485 port Data logger collects and records the data (Generation voltage, current of SPV array, battery status, output voltage, load current & frequency, units of energy generated) Data logger has a storage capacity of around three months (of data) Data can be pulled/pushed depends on the type of modem and communication setup GPRS Modem- Automatically Pushes data at a regular interval towards server GSM Modem- Server pulls the data by dialing to the modem at a regular interval Each off-grid SPV system vendor has their own server setup to collect the data Users accessing the data through online web based user interface

16 Static and Dynamic Information Base Information Includes Location details (District, Town, Latitude, Longitude) Details of the ownership/developer/vendor with emergency contact number and mail id Installed capacity of solar panel, type and battery banks Details of type, manufacturer of data logger/data collection/ server and meter. Dynamic Information Includes DC Voltage DC Current kwh reading of meter connected between solar panel and battery banks kwh reading of Grid supply meter kwh reading of the meter connected to the load
