1 POST SALARY HOURS OF DUTY LOCATION REPORTING TO RESPONSIBLE FOR HEAD OF FACILITIES 42,820-46,222 (Subject to Review) 35 Hours per Week TO BE ADVISED Estates and Facilities Director Facilities Manager Catering Services Manager KEY CHALLENGES 1. To assist the Estates and Facilities Director in the development and implementation of an FM Strategy and associated policies and procedures. 2. To lead, motivate and appraise Facilities Managers and associated staff to ensure that the strategic FM objectives for the College are achieved. 3. To assist developing sustainability within Estates and Facilities Management aspects of the College operation. To lead, ensuring that all FM contracts are managed and monitored to the maximum benefit of the College. To provide a safe, friendly and welcoming environment for all users of the College Estate. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. To assist in the management of change proposed within the Estates & Facilities Structure. 2. To assist in promoting the Estates and Facilities Department as a high quality customer focused FM service. 3. Manage all essential soft FM services such as ground maintenance, cleaning, catering and pest control. The management of all FM Managers and associated staff in the delivery of a quality service. To liaise with all areas of College operation in order to assist the College in it s strategic objectives.

2 KEY ROLES 1. To manage the implementation and maintenance of the College Asset Register within the approved College FM system. 2. Monitoring and reporting the effectiveness of utility contracts and implementing appropriate measures to reduce College consumption in accordance with Universities and Colleges Climate Commitment for Scotland. 3. To manage the effective use of the facilities management database To manage appropriate waste management and recycling scheme that meets current environmental legislation. To ensure that the College meets the required environmental standards in accordance with the College policy. Using performance management techniques to monitor and demonstrate achievement of agreed service levels and to lead to improvement in all FM services. Manage the monitoring and reporting of the effectiveness of all Catering Contractors. Manage FF&E requirements with respect to projects, works and relocation of staff workrooms and teaching facilities. To ensure high levels of service in the provision of estates grounds, catering, cleaning, security operations and car parking facilities. To manage the implementation of the Business Continuity Plan as required. To liaise on all Health & Safety building related matters with appropriate staff. To prepare and monitor the financial and other budgets allocated for FM services in agreement with the Estates & Facilities Director.. Undertake delegated duties on behalf of Estates & Facilities Director.
